As someone who has had cluster headaches my entire life, they feel like you’ve been shot in the head but are unable to die. I have nerve damage, I’ve had horrible infections, and I’ve broken lots of bones, but I’ve never felt anything that’s been even a quarter as painful as a cluster headache. All you can do to cope with the pain is cause pain elsewhere in hopes of distracting your brain from the headache. At it's worst, living with cluster headaches can hardly even be considered "living". I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I was lucky enough to find relief from using cannabis multiple times daily. Stress hormones are my triggers, and being stoned constantly keeps me extremely relaxed, even when working my 12 hour shifts. It took a considerable amount of time to learn to function properly while high, and I absolutely despised it at first, but I’ve gotten used to it, and love the feeling now. Even though I've had a couple that were quite painful, I'm not living in fear of the ones I still have that are yet to pass. I've learned to go on with life as usual.

It also gets more complicated if you have other underlyint illness. Telling the doc it felt like someone was taking a knife and carving into my bones, or I couldn't sit up due to pain. It can also cause a touch to feel like a punch or the softest sheets to feel like burpap sacks for me. Took 3 years but didn't account for all my symptoms. New doc I went to said day one I hace chronic debilitating migraine. So that accounted for the weakness, falling, fainting, vision loss, nausea, stuttering/slurred speech, light/sound sensitivity. Overall it's super frustrating since even something like too little sleep can cause us flare ups. Then mixed with another condition it causes stress which just perpetuates fibro and your other issuse.

Sometimes the stone would rest in a place where I wouldn't be in pain, but it was very delicate and it might randomly come back. I had to seek to hospital for a whole week, where I was put under strong pain meds until the stone naturally dissolved on its own. The worst part about the pains were that it would not stop for a very long time and you never knew if it would come back or let you rest.

I've been shot, been sliced up going through a window, broken a femur, been hit by a car and the most painful thing I've experienced was recovering from a Hemorrhoidectomy. Imagine dealing with hemorrhoids for decades and then finally getting them surgically taken off. Doctors don't stitch the flesh wound back together, it's muscle tissue so it has to heal naturally. Every time you have to poop, you have raw waste sliding by an open wound that never stops bleeding. They require you to be on a liquid diet during your recovery which can take weeks or months. If you slip up and eat something solid, your turd train will just tear into all the nerve endings down there and rip you up causing you to potentially pass out from the blood loss. After you've healed, you'll become a butthole surfers wet dream because your anus becomes tighter than Fort Knox. Stool softeners and laxatives become your best friend over the year. Remember to eat your fiber kids.

I've had many concussions in my life. I would say migraines are probably some of the worst pains I've ever experienced any sound, light, or movement triggers the worst pain you could feel in your head, but dont even think about crying or screaming in pain because that makes it 100x times worse, don't even move. Migraines are probably worse then cluster headaches. And the lasting brain damage from concussions has probably shortened my life span a bit. I'll probably have dementia or something when I get older sadly

So I'm a bit of a medical anomaly and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia when I was around 7 or so. While I've experienced pain worse than what I feel with fibro (gallstones tearing my gallbladder and having chemical burns to my face), I still say its the worst pain in my life. The thing that makes fibro so much worse than those are the fact that it doesn't go away. You live with it forever. They have medications that can help, but the side effects are not worth it (I took gabapentin for a month and got lost in a parking lot) and there are still doctors who refuse to take you seriously and just accuse you of being a drug addict looking for a fix, meanwhile every nerve ending in your body is screaming on fire while you look totally normal on the outside. I wouldn't wish it on the worst person on earth. It's truly hell.

I’ve passed kidney stones. Some good ones. I have to say gout is much, MUCH, worse. I have fibromyalgia and gout(not sure how) and a variety of chronic pain issues. I had stones in my gallbladder which was excruciating. And I’ve had a baby. Recently I had a full thick green liquor bottle thrown from a close distance. My lip was completely sliced in half and higher. Upper mandible cracked. Two teeth cracked off at the root and all my front upper teeth were dislodged/dislocated to different areas. My teeth had to be put back as close a possible to original place and be wired together. My septum was also pushed to the side so basically it’s in a nostril. And a chipped bone on my brow and cut that wasn’t stitched. 9:08 Now I get a root canal done on all my top front teeth. They hurt every day. The wires came off today but still not able to eat using front teeth at all. Also severe spinal stenosis and random bone growing throughout spine. I have no had a pain level under 6 in so many years. The way gout usually wakes you from sleep to say hey I’m here! Is a fing horrendous way to wake up. The only thing that helps my dads is naproxen elevation and Ice. I hope you have many pain free days in the future 🙂👋🏻

I hate to hear about someone with so many “natural issues” that also suffers from something completely preventable like your teeth/jaw. I hope whoever threw that bottle gets a big helping of Karma and you heal from that injury soon. As far as gout relief goes, I always had good luck with prednisone. That is, until the last time I took it. I’ve had prednisone prescribed a million times with nothing more than the taste and jitters as a side effect. Except the last time I woke up blind in my right eye! No idea why, dr sent me to the ER thinking I was having a brain bleed because of my history of ITP. Eventually I saw a retina specialist who figured out the prednisone caused a blister on my retina. Stopped taking it and my sight gradually returned in 2 weeks. So I lost my best weapon in my gout battle, that spurred me to start taking the daily Allopurinol. It really controls it well, I definitely recommend it. I’ve had 3 attacks in almost 2 years. All three were very severe, the worst I’ve had, but it’s only 3. I really do hope you hit the lottery, or at least get some solid relief even if just occasionally. You need a break from the constant pain.

The worst parts are that to confirm what it is a dr has to touch your junk which is the worst pain i've ever experienced and would not wish to my worst enemy. I was in high school and the headaches from that I feel could easily be squeezed into this video. It felt as though like your brain is swelling and your skull is containing it and not allowing the build up of pressure to go anywhere. I've had a kidney stone and been stung by a bullet ant. My anecdotal experience and study of one: 1) My kidney stone pain lasted upwards of 12 hours. It was nonstop and excruciating, I couldn't focus on anything but the pain. I didn't eat or drink the whole time, just shifted trying to reduce the pain. I've made groaning noises I didn't know I could make. 2) The bullet ant stung for 30 minutes or so before fading. It...felt like a sting. A bad one to be sure, easily the worst animal-related pain. If you put a bullet ant on me while I was in the middle of suffering from a kidney stone, I can tell you with 100% certainty I doubt I would even notice the bullet ant. And if I did, it would probably be a momentary relief. I briefly had a second kidney stone that passed quickly and must've been very small. However, when it began and I could tell what was happening I had an immediate panic attack. I was with some friends at the time and they called 911 thinking I was having a heart attack because I was having such a hard time getting words out. Again, thankfully it passed without much fanfare or pain aside from that initial "guess who's back?" throb in my low back. IMMEDIATELY following my first kidney stone, I made the following changes in my life with zero effort or willpower required: 1) Quit drinking energy drinks (dr. indicated some evidence suggested they contribute). 2) Quit drinking alcohol. 2) Began working out regularly and consistently since that day 3) Drank water with every meal 4) Closely monitor my sodium intake 5) Monitor my vit C and calcium intake and avoid supplements for them 6) Maintain a high veggie/fruit content diet with much lower proportion of red meats. That last one might ruffle feathers, but let me clarify: I don't care what your diet is and I have no qualms about what I or anyone eat--meat or otherwise. Rather, my doc suggested red meats, organ meats, etc. could contribute and I'm not taking a damn chance that I can afford to skip. So I'm pretty healthy now, but more importantly I haven't yet had another kidney stone. With any luck it'll remain that way until I die.

As someone with cluster headaches, you got some things partially wrong/left things out. First, you don’t really scream because screaming makes the pain way worse. And you left out the fact that you feel extremely car sick and nauseous from the pain that you end up vomiting. You also forgot that there is something called the “shadow”, it is where you still feel kinda sick with a little bit of pain. But while you are in the “shadow”, if you do anything that could trigger a headache, it goes into full force once again.
