Also im not sure if anyone has ever picked up on this. But Boba fett's concussion rocket does the same effect to lightsaber heroes as Lando's smoke grenade. They no longer track on to you.

@@riot_baby2296 it’s because you usually get higher than the ability affects. It doesn’t stop abilities, but Dooku swings his saber twice in the air which actually makes him go slightly higher than other characters doing the same move. So it allows you to avoid anakins pull or lukes push. Luke’s slam( can’t remember the name) still hits as well as anakins. As those moves don’t seem to have a height limit just be outside the circle to avoid them or dodge. Obi-wans push can hit dooku since he aims it. Also in this video he talks about Luke having double jump with the push, that is a glitch that has been fixed. Don’t waste your push. Sorry it’s lengthy but I hope it helps. Good luck

You can use Kylo's Frenzy while in Air if you are locked on to the opponent. If you set up the cards so you get more distance on it, you'll fly across towards the enemy, usually since you are coming at them at a uneven level they can't block it.

Maul can activate his choke just before he hits the ground from jumping, it takes practice but you will catch even the most experienced players off guard. You can jump with people caught in vaders choke, so as high up as vader can jump you can bring anyone up there with you, this will allow you to saber throw and get two hits from it everytime as its unblockable at that point. Get good at at it and you can get a swing in as well for about 450 to 500 damage. Learn to parry, so many players are unaware it exists or don't know how to do it. While blocking time your strike before, right as the saber clashes or right after your enemy's attack Frame, it will give a hit marker damaging them, knock them back and retain your health. Every hero will be different, every saber hero has a different swing speed and will be on you to figure the timing out. I suggest picking Luke to practice as he has the fastest attack swing and gives you the best window to parry anyone. This may not be as vital in GA or CS but in HvV or Hero showdown this is a must to learn

Considering HvV, Leia's shield is suicide, never use it there unless you know a Boba is about to bombard you. Villains can easily use the shield against you since force powers and electricity go through it. Leia's shield is very situational and in HvV only usefull to defend against a Boba.

Leia’s Shield can also block the stun effect from Phasma’s Turret, so you can use it as a way to nullify her turret, and allow your Lightsaber teammates to get close to her

Another tip for Kylo's Freeze ability: enemies who are frozen will get unfrozen as soon as they get hit by a lightsaber, either by Kylo or any other villain. However, blaster fire won't get the targets unfrozen. That means, especially in GA, it's a good tactic to freeze your enemies and let your teammates shoot them, instead of canceling the "frozen" status by hitting them with your lightsaber. Works also perfectly in HvV with Kylo and Iden for example.

While most of this tips are quite known and I’m surprised at how many people commented about Han’s ability being full auto (like any person who has played Han for 3 matches in HvV should have noticed that) this video did give some surprisingly helpful tips, when I throw I thought enemies just weren’t the best with a lightsaber (and when I faced Lando players I usually close the gap by dodging closer to him so I never really abused the look on feature) and Yoda being able the end Kylo’s freeze sooner with his health ability will make Yoda my pick when playing GA in Jakku (we all have faced Kylo pull-freezers there, haven’t we?). So this video was still very helpful unlike other tip videos, definitely one of the best tip videos since the “double Han/chewy running ability” (and no, “Flying Yoda” isn’t a helpful tip).

I think everyone noticed it but Grievous unrelenting advance also makes him invulnerable to force power. While on the animation, you can't be pulled or pushed by any hero, only Rey and ObiWan's mind trick can work on a Grievous using unrelenting advance

Maul can use his choke hold in air too and he used to throw wherever he wants left or right or middle then it became a bug that he thows enemy to his behind then they patched it so he can no longer control his aim when using choke hold but he can still use it on air :))

Tired of people under rating Captain Phasma. So here is a comment explaining her use! She requires cunning and tactics, her droid can be deployed not only defensively as most would do; but you can use it offensively, dropping it in the heat of fights when enemies least expect it. Support your fellow heroes by laying down suppressive fire, staff aside enemies that try to rush you or get stunned by either your droid or another allies stun power, you can also use the droid in an open field to create a dividing barrier, stopping enemies from teaming up on one ally at a time. Knowing when to press your attack and when to retreat is also key. Additionally her rifle is great for denying Saber users forward movement since they are forced to block; and the accuracy is excellent for long distance engagements. Her tankiness also allows her to serve as a suitable distraction or damage sponge for a brief moment. Most notably; If she is used in combination with Iden Versio's own stun power, rapid fire blaster and Ion grenades, they make for a deadly duo.

Also, when playing as Kylo, if there’s a Phasma active too, stick by her. Kylo’s Freeze can allow Phasma to completely melt anyone frozen by Kylo’s ability. Along with that, whoever got frozen is immediately going to try to take Phasma out, and will give you a perfect opportunity to finish them off as Kylo, with either his saber or his Frenzy Ability, after they’re unfrozen.

I understand why Blaster Characters can roll through Lightsaber Attacks, since the blade isn’t that wide, and there’s plenty of room to dodge them, but Force Attacks have an Area Of Effect, not a Hitbox. It just seems kind of illogical to say that someone like Chewbacca can simply somersault, and avoid being electrocuted by Palpatine/Dooku, or avoid being grabbed by the throat by Maul/Vader

@@deaconpoole7577 in Battlefront 2015 it was like that were you would be force choked or electrucuted during rolls. It worked fine and blaster heroes still had their value but you couldnt run up to a saber hero and expect to win. You had to wear them out from a distance first. Palpatine also had a block that caught blaster bolts in his hands and blocked saber attacks. The game also had way more skins and weapons and more cutomization. Tbh Bf2 looks way better but the gameplay has regressed to cater to casuals.

I kind of agree, though it is nice having at least something to save you. Vader's Choke is a prime example though because you can't roll out of it. If you're in the AOE you're done.

@@TheStarBazaar the rolling mechanic for swings is good, I can see how that works even though Han couldnt roll out of the way of kylo in the movies RIP, but in the game its kind of silly that Finn can roll out of the way of dooku's force lightning even though the AOE is on him. However, my main concern is in GA because saber heroes have more ground to cover. Ive had times as darth maul where my force choke exposed me because two of four guys rolled with perfect timing even they didnt know I was behind them. Keep the rollie boys ability to dodge lightabers but an AOE change will make 6 heroes better against regular troops. Good blaster heroes wont have that much of a disadvantage since they know to keep the distance between them and saber heroes.

General Grievous’s Unrelenting Advance allows him to be completely unaffected by force powers. On Maps like Naboo, Kamino, Kashyyyk, and Hoth, where death pits are common, Unrelenting Advance is a great way to traverse risky or dangerous portions of the map, while also being completely immune to blasters and Lightsabers (so long as you’re facing the right way.) I’m not sure if Unrelenting Advance saves Grievous from ALL ragdolling abilities, like Han’s Shoulder Charge and Detonite, Chewbacca’s Charge Slam, Rey’s Dash Strike, or Anakin’s Retribution, but I know for a fact that it saves him from Luke’s Force Push/Repulse, Yoda’s Unleash, Obi-Wan’s All Out Push, and Anakin’s Pull, and Heroic Might Kinda ironic, how after Grievous was first released, Unrelenting Advance was broken, didn’t even work 70% of the time, and when it did it barely did even enough damage to take down a normal Heavy, and it didn’t even save him from Force abilities, But now, it melts heroes if you have them pinned, shreds through all of any lightsaber user’s block stamina, even Obi-Wan’s, and can keep Grievous safe from being blasted off a ledge by a troll-Luke or Anakin

i dont think many people know this, but if you hold the button while vader chokes someone, the ability lasts about 1 second and does only 6 damage, so just hit the button once and the ability will become normal

You can also throw your lightsaber as Maul and Vader while jumping. Allthough i guess this isn't the kind of Force Power Star meant, even though it technically still is one. However ... just from my HvV games i assume that most Kylo players know that last tip all too well, judging from how many players are fishing for cheap ass ledge kills on maps like Kamino, Naboo and Kashyyyk like that.

Here’s the best tip for lightsaber combat: just bash the hell out of R2. Button spamming works ever since they fucked up blocking/hit detection.
