I just hate how only one sniper in the game one shots on a headshot and that's the NT-242. Every other sniper takes multiple headshots to kill someone and that's the exact opposite of what a sniper is meant to do. They need to buff headshot damage on these other sniper rifles.

A powerful weapon capable of one-shotting most infantry with a single headshot but must be manually reloaded after each shot, meaning you *have* to be precise to be effective with it and if you miss your shots you'll have a sizeable window of vulnerability that your target could use to retaliate. Granted NT-242 would still probably be the superior blaster, but at least the Cycler Rifle would be more viable then it is now

@@KellingtonDorkswafer not exactly. The multiplier for headshots is 1.9 without the ion shot. With it, it drops to a 1.1 damage multiplier. Being that the CR-2 does 3 damage at close range and 2 at medium, getting headshots with the attachment nets about the same damage. Without it, you do roughly 6 and 4 damage a shot. Not a lot different number wise, but with that insane fire rate, I'm sure you can see the use of some more headshot damage. That said, I like it either way. The weapon is indeed a beast.

It's better overall than the other guns, but dl18 with repeater and reduced spread is better until u get the se44c such then u can just switch between that and s5 for short and long range. Only place I ever use s5 is death Star tbh because that is the only place that long range is even useful to me as an officer, and I would rather use the nt242 or the a280cfe elsewhere, like jakku.

Something I think that is important to note is that the specialist isn't ever referee to as a sniper. This suggests that their weapons are not particularly supposed to be a sniper rifle, but instead might be either a sniper or an lmg/rifle.

For the NT-242, if you wanna be a sniper but can't snipe (like me): use the disruptor shot. The description doesn't do it justice: it adds an explosive effect with a generous AOE. Excellent for killing objectives, vehicles, heroes, and regular troopers too (ie EVERYTHING) at pretty much any range, since you just have to hit the ground near the target. Getting kills when they're around corners or behind cover is so satisfying. It generally requires one more shot to kill than without the disruptor attachment but since you'll be hitting a lot more often with the AOE effect that doesn't matter that much. On one extra XP weekend I went from almost no cards with the Specialist to having all of them unlocked and maxed. Geonosis - Capital Supremacy was just a massacre with it.

With the CR-2 you're just straight firing it, most, if not all weapons, can be used at medium range if you use them with a burst, or wait not even second long and your bloom will go back and you can burst them down to lower health, so message here is to tap fire over just spray it at medium range

I hope they have a 'blaster update' where they make each variation of the default blaster it's own weapon with unique stats and attachments, thats 24 new weapons, the base weapon models are already in the game, so all that needs to be done is alter the stats and some minor modelling for attachment changes, granted, there are three attachments for each weapon, so 72 new attachment designs is alot, but I doubt anyone would complain if they were to implement the weapons in slowly.

EL-16 is honestly the best blaster in the game as long as you can land head shots. It can pretty much do everything, long range, medium range, and close range. Most of the other weapons are specialized to do only 1-2 of those things.

This video seems poorly researched. By default, the SE-44C *does* have a lower rate of fire than the DL-18. However, the full auto mod for the SE-44C "exponentially" (according to the description of the mod) increases the rate of fire, which makes it shoot much much faster. However, the DL-18's full auto mod doesn't change the rate of fire, so once the SE-44C gets the full auto mod, it shoots faster. The full auto mod for the DL-18 is actually useless and you are at a disadvantage using it as opposed to the other mods, because you can just spam the trigger and shoot just as fast as someone who has full auto on.

Quick note here. I went on arcade to test if there is a DMG difference between the dl-18 and the se-44c, and I found out that despite the stats saying they deal the same DMG, the dl-18 actually deals around 30ish more damage. So the se-44c isn't entirely better than the dl-18.

The ion shot for the CR-2 will only reduce the amount of time it takes to kill somebody by like two bolts. So there is literally no downside for attaching the ion shot.

The CR2's (or any weapon's) ion shot attachment does reduce damage output against troopers, but the actual damage reduction is almost minimal to the point where it would hardly affect any of its interactions. The only reason you'd get less kills or die more with the ion shot over not having would be because your mind thinks it does worse and then you consequently play worse, but not everyone is ready for that conversation...

There's a detail you didn't mention about the DC-15LE that I feel might change your mind on its ranking. You didn't mention it, but when you overheat the rifle when explosive shot is attached the overheat minigame's bar travels as fast as an assault class's. Essentially making it faster to just overheat your weapon and press the trigger after a slight pause and then keep shooting. Edit: And you can pair it with the Expert weapon's handling star card as well for a quick golden bar overheat buff that lasts a long time.

Personally. I like the DL-18 because if you know how to aim good and also can land headshots at closer range. It does more damage then that First Order pistol. But I do feel the DL-18 rate of fire still hinders it a bit.

On GA maps where you have to shoot a tank for the obj, assuming you/your team can nail down shooting the tank with the ion launcher, it stacks up crazy battle points faster then the officer.

My favorite sniper combo is NT-242 w/ ion disruption on. The damage difference is small and it adds a AOE to the bolt. I even use it up close. It's incredible.

The A280 CFE is easily the best sniper IMO. Burst mode isn't necessary for it but can be used. It has next to no recoil. Damage is a bit lacking but treat it like a DMR. Makes the specialist class play like an assault class. I've personally gotten 70 kills and around 10 or so assists with it in good games of capital supremacy.

The ultimate sleeper pick in the game is the A280CFE with burst fire. Its the fastes TTK weapon available to infantry. (outside of OHK weapons) better TTK than the TL-50 and the CR2 and it comes with cross map level of range and low recoil along with deseptievly amazing hipfire accuracy. Seriously, this thing is OP, but no one uses it. Not sure if the T-21 burst fire is better than it tho, haven't checked the numbers in depth yet, but the T-21 is a monster too. T-21 does have a better damage output against Heroes since a headshot burst does somewhere close to 350 damage, but the consistancy, better handling stats and bolt speed make the A280CFE more of a threat for infantry at all ranges.

The cr-2 is so good, you should always use ion shot. It only adds one more shot to kill to the heavy. And all other classes is makes no difference except for extra vechike damage

The T-21 is a monster in terms of damage and it has decent range but I have to disagree with it’s #1 placement. With the burst attachment (that gives it its insane damage) it has a low rate of fire, it overheats in 4 shots, and has a very slow cool down due to it being a heavy blaster. To avoid the long cool down (which leaves you vulnerable for several seconds) you have to manually cool it every 3 shots effectively making it so you’re recharging your weapon as often as you’re firing it. Without burst it’s a lot more forgiving but in exchange of that one shot kill damage. It’d put it on par with the TL-50, and switch between them depending on the situation.

The EL-16HFE is far better than the A280, just cause you suck at using it doesn’t mean it should be placed below default blasters and the A280
