Emotional intelligence is not a valuation of your worth, rather a result of the type of emotional intelligence learning and modelling you had access to. And regardless of where you're at on your emotional intelligence journey being more intentional and aware of the things we think, say or do will help us feel more in charge of our minds, out emotions and our lives - and this, in and of itself will also help build confidence.

I sometimes tell myself that I'm confused about certain social situations. I'm scared I'm a bit socially "wrong". But, I can definitely decide to think in a way that I think is most useful to me and others. I never thought my feelings of confusion could be related to decision making, and that it's not about the "correct thought" but what I choose to think. I'm excited to try applying this, the theory makes sense (to me at least). Thanks!

I used to scold myself all the time when I made a mistake. One thing that helped me turn it around is when I hear that voice, I say "I hear you. But this is not helpful, and only hurts me from making progress." It lets the negative voice feel heard but redirects the attention back towards being compassionate with myself. Thanks Julia, this is such a timely reminder.

The confusion part really struck me. I think that's why I'm struggling so much to trust my own thoughts and opinions. The reason I'm afraid to trust myself, without verifying with someone trustworthy first, is because I've been taught to believe my parents thoughts and opinions to be the right one (been gaslighted a lot). So if I turne out to be wrong, that would mean they were right and it was stupid of me to ever misstrust them. But I'm getting better & I hadn't even noticed myself calling this fear confusion, so thank you!

1st, I relate to this, being on both the giving and receiving end since I have adhd. 2nd, I think her point is that in that case it would be better to directly state what you need , instead of saying I'm confused which sort of makes you sound like you have a problem, to instead focus on the solution and choose to express yourself by saying , Lets go over one point at a time or I'm struggling to follow all your points lets break this down together , or in my opinion the best way to do this is by practicing reflecting listening and say okay every couple minutes I need to summarize what you said to ensure Im following you, or let me write notes ,or lets agree on the point or goal or takeaway of this meeting or discussion before we start, I believe her point in all of this is to focus on dealing with these moments by focusing on the solution not the problem, instead of claiming that youre confused, practice doing what it takes to find clarity...just my thoughts though

I'm definitely by far my worst critic. All for the reasons you said, thinking it is to motivate myself to be and do better. And I know most of the time i'm not a terrible person, but my emotions take over, and then I go into this very quickly escalating hatred to myself. My gf always calls me out for it, which is good- she gets upset at me whenever I hit or slap myself.. So I definitely do it less and less when she's around- but when she's not around, I sometimes fall back into this. This is something I really want to focus on improving and getting out of my system. I actually teared up just hearing you talk about it, because it reminds me of the abusive relationship I've been stuck with for a very long time.

Making a mistake, taking it as failure, but more so as REGRET!!!!!!! Huge for me and then how I treat myself afterward...really kick myself and it gets bad because the mistakes pile up and feeling badly just piles on. Hi Julia, thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and knowledge with us! Years ago I constantly thought negatively, horrible things about myself, thing's I wouldn't dream of saying to others. By chance I found a book by Louise Hay "you can heal your life" she says exactly what you are saying here, I became very aware of what I was doing and changed the thoughts immediately for a positive or loving thought. Basically I spoke to 5 year old me. I also started meditating. I can't even go into detail how much it's changed my life for the better! The main thing for me was it made me healthy, I had fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, I have been fully discharged from hospital, on no meds for 3 years! I love myself now, I love everyone/thing. I am so grateful every day I'm in love with life. ❤x

This is so helpful on our path to emotional health, vs being blown around by every word or feeling that we either receive from someone or say in our heads to ourselves. Thank you for reminding us that you also struggle with these, but know there is a healthy way to move through our lives in more positive ways. While I am determined to grow my emotional intelligence so I fully show up for the 2nd 1/2 of my life, I have walked away from News cycles for now. So far I am 60 days sober from my previous news addiction and I feel so much more positive! It doesn’t mean I don’t want to help the world, but right now, I am helping myself become stronger, more positive and resilient. The regurgitating negativity in news is wounding and stirs up anger in me.- but, yes, I will definitely vote!

I connected most to saying I’m stuck, I always knew deep down that I just wasn’t sure how to go about fixing things and would love for someone to just wave a wand and fix my fears and my life but then I said to myself I’m stuck for so long I began to believe I truly was mentally and physically stuck. I know better now. I’m going to ask myself the hard questions and the right questions and I’m so eager now to put in the efforts and to continue working deliberately on myself and to not fear regret or the possibility of it but to make informed decisions, and if I’m the future regret comes, I’m going to remember to feel that emotion and move from it because it’s really what makes life life, the ups and unavoidable downs. Thank you so much Julia, God bless you!!

For many years now a next door neighbour has threatened, verbally abused, watched followed and driven into me injuring my ankle and getting the dog caught under her bumper, two three four cars, one associated with next door have nearly hit me on the road. She has kicked plants pulled things out of my hand and threatened to beat me up, poisoned my dog with slug pellets and shouts abused at my mentally ill son. Constantly telling me I'm just an old lady, a lowly cleaner who can't afford a car so has a rough ride on the bus with no teeth, no friends, no family, a wanker, a weirdo the list goes on. It is dramatic, traumatic. Her children poke fun at us on the green I retaliate sometimes but most of the time try to control my own mouth and feelings. Realising that there is something inside of both of us that needs healing. Basically she has moved in and a syndicate of knarly neighbours with a history of the same behaviour have gotten together and passed the baton to this female . There are many ways I think of dealing with it but feel that due to their lack of understanding and prejudice it will escalate to actual bodily harm and I'm not going there unless I really have to. What can I do please it is a silent cry that would be heard in the next universe. Serina 🌈

When I say I'm stuck it means I've hit a wall and I don't know how to get over it. I've learned to outsource my issues to people who can actually help me. But there's a difference between not knowing what to do and deciding I can't do anything

Loved this. Will come back to this. Just wish the title did not say " emotionally intelligent" ppl avoid. You see, it should probably say things all ppl can learn to avoid saying.

Real Humans This is a document telling you how a true human mind should be. We have always been taught that our Thoughts Create our FEELINGS but we are not living with theses teachings. I hope this document helps you see your true mind. Most of the people in our society just don’t use their minds. They don’t think and find it impossible to really look at themselves. I use to think this was because people were to scare to see the truth of themselves. I now know I was wrong. We were given a mind more powerful than any computer And we were given it with the ability to use it. Our minds help us protect ourselves. The mind will not destroy its own body or its own mind. Once you can except that simple concept you can start to look for outside sources in why your mind isn’t working how it naturally should without interference or manipulation. Your natural mind will not play games with you. Your natural mind will not mess with your history or torment you with past traumas or randomly put thoughts into your mind. You should have full control of your own mind, it’s your mind to control so why can’t many control their own minds. Simple answer. OUTSIDE FORCES. It’s shocking to realize and see that many can’t access any of these abilities from the left side of the brain. “Analytic thoughts, logic, language, reasoning, science and math’s, writing, numbers, skills” and from the right side “Arts awareness, imagination, creativity, intuition, insight, holistic thoughts, music awareness, 3D forms. The left and right side of the brain has much more abilities than just the ones I have mention. Theses abilities should be natural for us to access and use also easy over time. It’s seems like the access to our true amazing minds have been blocked, even the ability to think has been blocked. It’s seems like the only function many have been ALLOWED! to access is to OBEY. And except authority all initiated through fear(induced fear) Feelings! Our ability to care and know true love has been blocked. (if you have not the ability to look at yourself or into yourself then you can never find true love. You can never know yourself and you can never love yourself. This is the path to true love) You can never find true love in another person or anything external. Now before I explain why you can’t access you own minds abilities, I want to explain how your natural minds should work. YOUR MIND! It’s not as complicated as doctors, scientists and Psychologist claim. In fact I would now say “they have no idea because what they were taught about the mind/brain was a lie, but we have all lived by what these people have told us (it’s not their fault) Know thy mind There has to always be a connection (a link) to why you feel a certain way Your thoughts should only create what you feel. If you feel something from body or stomach and have no thoughts in why you feel that way (technology will be the cause) Remember if you feel blue, sad, confused and can not understand why because no one has hurt you or upset you in anyway Someone is manipulating your body. There has to always be a reason for feelings The mind is pure. If you can not control it (someone is manipulating it) To realise this is scary. Your thoughts are yours to control at will. If thoughts just pop into your mind randomly with no connection with what your doing or anyone else is doing. (someone has your mind and body) If music just pops into your head and you can’t stop it with a click of a finger (someone has your mind) If you feel negative & down but don’t know why ( they have you & are messing with your positive energy) They need to make you negative. They block your mind from creating, they can repeat words in your mind by playing it over again. Your mind records everything & this can be manipulated. (YOU CAN NO THIS BY TRYING TO STOP THE MUSIC PLAYING IN YOUR HEAD OR WORDS REPEATING ITSELF) If you can’t or find it hard like it won’t leave your mind (someone has you) You are the controller of all your mind. It does not have a mind of its own. Your own mind will not destroy you or its own body. When they said people were possessed with demons. They were right but the demons are real people with a device enabling them to make the body jump or twitch while in bed. Make the body shake so you think your scared. They can put thoughts into your head to see what you think, they can even mess with your words or make it hard for you to speak. • Not everyone will experience the talking unless they come online (it’s why suicide has gone up) they know people can’t prove it & say it, they know they will be seen as mad as well. (perfect weapon) if they have control of eyes it’s worse. That’s why many become loners or stop seeing friends or even going out. (they want people to see you as crazy. The ones who know take their lives. They know no doctor can help or medication or even talking to someone. All they do is attack specially at night while you sleep. They can deprive you of sleep (insomnia) If you try not to think but can’t (someone has you) Test your mind in this way! Test you eyes 👀 (relax) look at a spot, if you eyes feel like moving up, down, left, or right (someone may have you) They can create addiction by putting a memories or the bookies etc. into the for front of your mind until you give in & do it. They can clear your mind & get you addicted to one thing. When you realize your mind is your own, Try separate the negative and the positive. You are the positive. The demons are the negative. (Its your ego, the ego is the device) You will not but yourself down in truth but the demons will,(real people) making you think its your own thoughts. The demons (real people) will but others down. You will just speak the truth. They can make you think your angry when your not by messing with your face expression which is also possible and your energy. It’s like they want to take over everything. The good thing is it don’t last for ever, they have to keep infecting you. Somehow. It could be someone you think is a friend but just wants to destroy you. If you eat bad foods it helps the device work better. Anyway keep an open mind. If I get device I can then show it to everyone Most important they can effect you sexually. This is why your mind should control and tell you your turn on by a person. If your penis reacts with no thoughts in mind. They have you sexually as well . So do not act on it (penis) PLEASE REMEMBER your mind should control everything the body feels specially your sexuality If you know the saying “,your penis controls your mind” well I think that’s how it is for most men. Their penis has a mind of its own. This is how sick these people are. What if I said “there is a secrets organization or government that not even our MPs, the police, doctors, scientists know about. Each and everyone of us has this device in us from birth down to the jabs we get! What if I said “a natural human doesn’t get Illness’s and are much strong and powerful Than we could imagine, what if I said “we have the power and ability to know the love within us, but our minds have been blocked from accessing it. What if I said I could tell you much more about device and that’s its made us, stupidly emotional, stubborn, violent, unable to reason and think, unable to truly care, to cry, to be shocked . Without device being exposed we as a people do not stand a change in fighting these demons. (Men) The one thing devil couldn’t do was read minds. With this device he can now. What if I told you toothache isn’t real and that they give you toothache, making you think you got bad tooth or your just become old, they effect your joint’s, making you think your getting old, they mess with your eye’s and make you forget thinks. Making you think your getting old. They also effect your breathing, making you think your Short of breath.. The device can give you a fever. Cold (can block up your noise or make it runny) make you sneeze, couch, it can shake your body (different parts or the whole body. This device has made us into fake humans that can’t control their own minds or control how they feel. I am now becoming free from device. Pray that I get it so I can prove all this. The only way we can help people is to FREE THEIR MINDS, then they will be able to see for themselves the truth from the lies.
