I cut off all the hanger loops and use them in the garden to tie tomato plants to stakes. Perfect, length, perfect width and perfect softness.

The hanging straps in clothes are a necessary evil- my hack is to use the clothes tape and tape them to underside if the clothes that way once I’m done, I remove them with no damage to the clothes and at times the tape acts to keep a garnet in the perfect spot 😉 Love your channel!

Great tips, Gemma. I hate those hanging loops and always cut them out, they put them unnecessarily in most garments. I don’t buy one-shoulder or off-the-shoulder tops, which are the only garments that they are necessary for. I use skirt hangers for skirts and trousers, so they’re not needed for those, either. I use padded hangers for my sweaters for the 4 months or so a year when they aren’t in folded storage, it’s not perfect, but is an acceptable compromise, as I don’t have any shelf space. I see too many items of jewelry on so many women, it’s just not classy and the eye doesn’t know what to look at first. I don’t even like those multiple earrings that are so popular, I like just one pair. Also, You didn’t address this one, but I hate weird piercings, like on lip, eyebrow or nose, and visible tattoos - men hate these too! I did some online dating a few years ago, and so many men said up front that they weren’t interested in women with these. I never had any myself, just ear piercing for one pair. Most of these really young women who get them will regret it when they mature, or spend thousands removing them, and endure a lot of pain, too. Doctors aren’t as sympathetic about removing them as they are about birthmarks, etc. They limit future career and husband choices, men want to marry women they are proud to introduce to their family, friends, and boss/coworkers at the office. My employer, in a one-employer career, wouldn’t have hired anyone with them, except in the mail room, it just didn’t fit the corporate culture. Unlike what most people think, employers do have the right of refusal to hire based on a person’s image, just not sex, race, etc.
@latinaalma19474 жыл бұрын
Could not agree more! Tats too and so,many young women get them....my daughter was enlisted in the US Coast Guard. The rule,was they could not show she had an ankh put on her calf just above where her skirts in uniforms had to be. S he was a navigator and got it to,fit in with the guys. SHe later became a pilot then went to the Kennedy School of Gov. at Harvard for her masters degree in International Relation. Then she became a high ranking officer at headquarters in charge of operations in the entire Atlantic...her last posting was as military attache to our ambassdor on a Caribbean Island....I never said anything to her about her tatoo but she KNEW I disapproved her marking her body like that. SHe confided she regretted it! Hopefully her children will not do it.
