I've watched a lot in this regard and still you were able to come up with new tipps. Also presented in a sane and scientifically articulated way which I really appreciate. Thanks!

Thank you very much for this insight! It's interesting that it's not the just the work before sleep but the novelty that causes bad sleep.

I have struggled with getting to sleep for 4 years. Ruminating over life issues. Sometimes for a few hours before falling asleep. I started a Yoga Nidra three weeks ago for deep rest and have seen massive improvement. You can’t follow along to the meditation and ruminate. Period. I have done every single sleep hygiene that exists and this has impacted me more than any other single (or collective) thing. Please try bruvs and sistas.

my game changer was developing my very own sleep meditation. I can be on 120% arousal full of adrenaline, if my body is tired I can go to sleep within 5 minutes using this. one of the best skills I ever developed.

I just watched this and feel ready for a wonderful night of sleep. 👍 On a side note, I believe stress is a major problem for many people, although finding an easy solution might not be straightforward.

after 40 to get your sleep right you need to do everything else right , diet , excercises , sun exposure , stress , caffine , being active, water intake , good sleeps simply become a sign that you did every other thing right.

My constant waking up at night issue was fixed by placing mobile away from bed and setting it on airoplane mode. Every time I do that I sleep with no interruptions. Every time I fail to do that I wake up 1-5 times per night

How do you increase deep sleep specifically? I feel so much better when I wake up and look at my sleep score and realise it's because I spent more time in deep sleep. However, it's not consistent and can be frustrating.

@NIGHTWINGEX

I use to have that too then I realized I had sleep apnea which was causing me to not properly enter deep sleep or proper sleep at all you should do a sleep study and see if you have it I haven’t had RLS since one thing that also seems to help is make sure your bedroom is dark and make sure you’re a bit colder before bed to help you fall Asleep

@@NIGHTWINGEX hmm could be but I dont often snore, if at all. It's usually an issue as soon as I lay down. Intense impulse to kick my legs which then becomes mental stress from that impulse and trying to control it then the cycle repeats. Doesnt happen every night and hadnt for many months but kicks up randomly and lasts months once it does. Yeah I've got the dark cool room thing down and usually go to sleep at a relatively consistent time. No caffeine after 1pm if at all during the day yada yada yada the usual things people do. Probably just need a new more comfy mattress.

@@strifefaction maybe your legs are also tired from a long day also you may not snore loud I actually snore very quietly and found out I have mild sleep apnea but my sleep efficiency is only 50% which is horrible but def Do a sleep study you find out interesting things

This video is great, but recommending mouth tape right it if the bay after lots of sleep doctors lashed against it for countless reasons is wrong in my opinion. It can cause all sorts of problems since snoring is often just the symptom of a breathing condition, so mouth taping isn't going to fix it but make you vulnerable to more breathing issues at night...

Sorry, but you are entirely missing the foundations: regular sleep schedules and regular waking schedules. These are paramount and also have shown to be important factor in studies. Trying to go bed 20 minutes earlier each day to find an optimal sleep schedule can reduce fatigue and disrupt an unhealthy pattern. According to a prominent scholar covering sleep, you should not sleep in at weekends, but try to stick as close as you can to your sleeping and waking times.

I don't think he's missing it, it's just that those are too common of suggestions - why waste his time on something that's already in the top search results?

@@michaelkoska4084 The funny thing is that according to my relative who is a doctor specialized in sleep disorders, the majority of people with sleep issues don’t have the basics right. Most advice he gives out is very mundane, but valid. Going to bed and waking up at the same time every day consistently is something people skip over. You can use any additional tip in the book, but for many the basics, including sleep schedules, are not in order.

The information in this video is good, and thank you for it, but it makes me sad that you think you have to copy Andrew Huberman in order to get your point across to people. Your thumbnail, video setup, profile picture, video title style and even your vocal inflections are directly pulled from Andrew Huberman. It is so blatant that it distracts from the content of the video. It is clear to me that you have a passion and a talent for this kind of work, it’s a shame that you feel you need to copy others. I would suggest trying to find your own style. I am certain that you will see better results from being more yourself. Take care

Huberman Lab and Perform are produced by the same team. That is why there are so many similarities. So it's not really fair for you to say he's copying Andrew Huberman.

@@skierchutney Oh I didn't realise, thanks for letting me know. You are right, it wasn't fair for me to say that in that case. I'd still say it would be best for Andy to develop a more unique style, but that at least explains why they're so similar.
