Also, Gronk blocking so much was a huge factor in why he didn't last as long as other TE's, Bill really screwed that up. - Winslow was a primary receiving TE, didn't block a ton -Sharpe was a primary receiving TE, didn't block a ton - Gonzalez was a primary receiving TE, didn't block a ton. The Greatest TEs in history were all receivers first and didn't block a ton, because the coaches wanted to minimize injuries, hell even Kittle doesn't block as much as he used to. So the point is completely invalid. TEs since AT LEAST the 80s have been receivers first and blockers second (if at all) and only ramped up as receivers since.
