You can make vodka out of absolutely anything in the United States. Potatoes, corn, wheat, grapes, apples, honey. There's even at least one distillery making it from milk. In the European Union you can also use any agricultural raw material, but it needs to be indicated on the label (e.g. "Vodka Produce from Apples") unless it is made with potatoes or cereal grains.

I'm totally sold...I subscribed...and I'm staring my own vodka distillery...gonna call it "Mel Gibson on a horse in a kilt"...vodka. Thanks for the laughs!
