Travis because of you I was able to fix my battery connectors for my garage door opener. Thanks for the video. I am a 63 y/o nurse now retired handy women.

This was incredibly helpful! We were able to repair our 30 year old ceiling fan remote because of this instruction! The repair wasn't exactly the same, but it sure worked. Thanks so much!

Thank you for this video. The AWG is larger on smaller wires, bc the AWG is the number of of times through a drawing die to get that size of wire. So, more draws are necessary for thinner wires.

Same thing happened to my guitar with active EMG pickups that require a 9V battery. I didn't play it for years so the battery inside corroded and the terminal just came off as I tried to remove the battery. So thanks!

I will try this to fix a second hand mini amp that got the connector lost. Just the red and black wire taped to the battery 😹. I'm quite a n00b at this, but your video makes it easy to understand. Many thanks and big hugs from México! 😺💕

I needed this video for my garage door opener controller. Can you use electrical tape instead of heat shrink? Thank you for your video.
@RepairNut2 жыл бұрын
Doesn't hurt to try. It will work just may come apart if you're not careful.
@hellagrant2 жыл бұрын
It probably would but those heat shrinks are insanely cheap. Buy a pack that has multiple sizes and it can last for years, for various projects. Or ask a neighbor if they have some to spare, I have over 100, probably will last me 10yrs +

The main tool you need, is teeny weeny fingers LOL Mine are too big, so I cheated and ended up using a soldering iron!
