Good morning, how's your week been? I had such a lovely day yesterday enjoying that sunshine, but good timing with this video as apparently it's going to rain all day today! The power of having a beautiful trench coat in your wardrobe should never be underestimated! So a little selection of ways to wear it on a day to day basis for when the weather is just not playing ball;) Which is your favourite look? Big hugs everyone and thank you SO much for all your support for my channel, I'm always so grateful:) What a lovely little community we've created. Big hugs, Jess x

Love this video, as I love them all. I have collected a lot of trench coats over the years, but should really cull through them as some are shamefully old (or vintage depending on one’s POV!) A few I will have to the very end, just too cute and whimsical (flowery lining) or classic (Burberry). I have an oversized one in black from another decade that favored oversized everything. It’s just when I look at it now, I feel like Batwoman in it! Lol! Hugs from FLA!

Good morning Jess, firstly love your furniture in your office, very chic indeed. As for the trench coat heaven episode...oh my goodness! I'm so in love with trench coats, it's definitely for me the to go for the finished look. I'm so glad you wore the trench coat shorter than the skirt. It has always made me feel frumpy wearing it like that. Well!...not when Jess wears it haha...also I don't think I ever wore a trench coat with casual sandals. It's incredible how we're told things and they just stick to us. This was definitely an eye opener with me. That navy trench coat is just oozing elegance!! A camel one is a must in our wardrobes, like you said. Loved all the looks gorgeous lady! Have a lovely Sunday! xxx

I bought my first Trench coat in the mid 60`s when I was a young nurse in training. I used to wear it with a pencil skirt, roll neck top and kitten heels. I would wear this on my days off when I went `home` to see my family. Fast forward many years and I now wear a Trench coat with a Breton inspired top, jeans and ballet flats. I tend not to wear it as much since being retired, however it still gives this old lady 60`s vibes and I feel good. Another great video Jess, thank you for sharing.

Aww I love the sound of that outfit idea, I can imagine how great that looked. I honestly believe a great trench is so timeless, I’ll still be wearing mine in my 80s! Out of interest did you hold onto the one you had in the 60s? x
@acminkus2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jess! I really love outfit 6, and it’s one that I can recreate which is really great. I love the contrast of the dark blue on top with the lighter denim on the bottom and then having all of this against the great camel-coloured trenchcoat. In my case, the black boots will probably become black sneakers made out of leather. Thanks for all these great ideas. And I love your hair color! It really looks so soft and so healthy.

A trench was something I wanted to add to my wardrobe so much but couldn’t find the exact style that I was after. Suddenly, H&M brought the perfect trench into their store in March and it was perfect! It has a long flowing style in a lovely camel shade and I only paid €50. The fabric was from their recycled range and I’m so happy with it and have worn it so much. It is extremely versatile and brings something very chic to an outfit and I too,would recommend it as a really important item in any capsule wardrobe.💖

Yay! What a find lovely:) Gotta love a bit of H&M to the rescue! And I'm really chuffed to see how many more sustainable fabrics they're using recently. Even in their 'normal' range it's become common to see natural fibres or more sustainable options and still their prices don't go silly. So happy to hear you've found it helpful in your wardrobe x

Thanks Jess, lovely styling tips, it's great to see what looks can be achieved with the classic trench coat. I was lucky to inherit a beautiful Burberry trench from my Mum; which she found in a charity shop years ago! The only problem is, there's no belt, lol, so I use a leather one in it's place. Hope you have a lovely Sunday xx

Each outfit is beautiful and effortlessly chic , Jess. The light green one is my favorite. So light, soft and pretty. I always like the look of a soft trench coat, especially walk on the street in them. But as we drive everywhere here in Houston(literary everywhere ), it is hard to wear it. I typically take the coat off when I get in the car as I don't want to sit on it , also it will be too warm in the car. Then I put it back on after I park the car. It is about two minutes to walk inside, I have to take it off again as it feels strange to wear a trench coat inside.....Most of the time, it is just hanging there. I admire people who live in cooler places who can make more use out of beautiful trench coats.

On my visit to London I wore heeled ankle boots one day and walked 12 miles in them. Yuck. Before lockdown or BC(before Covid) I would never wear trainers in London but something has happened and now I see both British men and women wearing white leather trainers all the time. I’m sooooo thankful. I can wear my AGLs on my next trip in June and I won’t scream ‘American’. I’m taking my monochrome wardrobe too. Thanks for this video. Trying to decide if I need one of my trenches in June. In October I wore it only once in five weeks as it only seemed to rain at night. Weather is changing everywhere.

I always take loads of outfit ideas and I never end up wearing them🤣 Time just flies and you find yourself wearing the same thing you wore all day in the rain! I wouldn’t worry about styling for it to be honest I’d just go with what you love and is easy and have the most amazing time😘 P.S Actually a kimono is quite handy to have for an extra layer, and a hat. Hi! I’m thinking of getting the Sezane trench coat. I wear size 42 should I size up on this? Thanks!
@triciabennetts65782 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jess - very timely 🙂 I bought the trench from Sézanne - ordered in 2 colour ways as I couldn’t decide from the pictures on line. I opted for the next size up - size 12 - as you suggested - and you were spot on! However, can’t decide between the camel and khaki - the khaki is more of a lovely darker sage with a touch of grey colour - and my conscience won’t let me keep the two 😬 Thank Goodness I didn’t buy the navy as well!😉
@SK-lw9ku2 жыл бұрын
I have them in navy and camel but the camel size 12 feel a lot bigger than the navy one? I’ve returned it for a 10 now. The fabric also felt stiffer with the camel. Did you notice any differences at all?
@FashionStyleEdit2 жыл бұрын
Haha sounds like you’re having my kind of dilemma! I never want to send anything back from Sezane. Well I honestly believe both are gorgeous and both hugely timeless really. The camel might be ever so slightly more of a classic than khaki but that doesn’t make it right for you. The tricky thing is both shades would go with everything so I don’t hunk it has to just come down to personal preference? That really wasn’t much help at all was it🤣 Sorry hun, I love them both!! X
@FashionStyleEdit2 жыл бұрын
Oh that’s strange I’ve not heard of that! My navy and camel fit the same and I’m pretty positive it’s the same cotton? Maybe they did a small run in a different cotton Im not sure? Anyhow glad you got there in the end lovely 😘

Good morning Jess, I like your Weekend trench as it's really long and that's what I struggle to find being tall as I am. My classic trench from Gap is donkeys years old, still looks great though, but it's quite thick so I don't wear it that often this time of year. To be honest I just don't feel the need for any coats these days unless I'm outside for long periods as I'm usually going from car to shops/pub/office and am never outside long enough! Shame cos I love coats, especially the ones you choose. Have a great day see you next week x

Nothing wrong with one that's donkeys years old! Authentic vintage Jo:)) I think one of the reasons I wear a trench coat so much, aside from loving the style, is that unless it's about 30 degrees outside I'm freezing haha! And I hate the cold!
