Yes they do need to listen more but I think a lot of people who have pain they probably do just have constipation so if a doctor doesn’t listen they probably think it’s that first. 😢 But still if she kept coming back they definitely should have done an ultrasound sooner. You are right. Drs need to start rethinking their approach. They operate on the idea "think horses not zebras". Too many times they deny or restrict access to care. Doing nothing more than stepping over dollars to pick up dimes.

Almost all cervical cancers are caused by HPV. Please get your teenagers the HPV vaccine. Some people arent genetically able to fight off HPV. It runs in families. If your body can't fight off this virus, it will cause cervical cancer. It can also cause mouth, throat and cancer of the "backside." HPV is extremely common virus. Most people get exposed in their lives. It is an STD. Many can fight off the virus, but if your body can't, it is very dangerous.

God bless you, strong intelligent girl! My friend’s daughter was having symptoms when she was a teenager and I encouraged her to take her daughter to an OB/GYN even though she was so young. It turned out she had ovarian cancer. She had surgery and survived.

The same thing happened to me but with kidney disease, I was diagnosed on Christmas Day. I always relate to these stories with kids who go thru things like this so hardcore

Kaylee - thanks for raising awareness by telling your story. This is not a well known cancer and the symptoms are often mistaken for minor health issues. You are strong - mentally and physically - my best wishes to you and your loving mum and dad from London UK ❤️👏🏻🙏🏻

Just insane a 9yrold gets this cancer. I’m sure they did genetic tests on her. So incredibly brave! I have been through the simply horrible chemo involved in gyno cancers. Amazing!

My grandma had breast cancer twice. They had to do radiation, which affected her nerves in her shoulder and upper arm so much that she completely lost the mobility in her left arm. But luckily, she survived both times and is still here at 82 years old!

What a beautiful child of god. I’m so happy she beat cancer but for the ones that get called home early they are not any less of a fighter in gods eyes. My mom passed in 93 from the same cancer.
