Had KZbin TV after cutting the cable, but after several years realized it was also not worth the cost, nor the propaganda. Switched to Premium KZbin and have never missed anything KZbin TV offered.

Same here! Worth a few dollars a month eliminating all the ads, and also there's so many free TV apps out there that I may never go back to KZbin TV.

It's unfortunate so many companies don't want you to call them. If something cost over $70 a month there should just be a number for people to call. It is also annoying that it is called KZbin TV but to make certain changes you need to be on a mobile device or computer. All settings should be available on the tv.

KZbintv destroys Comcrap. We were paying for basic cable. You Tube has 15 better channels then Comcrap for less money

Here is something ese that annoys me, but is not a deal breaker. If in the middle of the channel guide, I have to scroll down first, then back up to see the beginning portion of it.

I don't have that issue. I just hit the back arrow twice and it goes to the beginning of the guide with no issue.

I've had KZbin TV for about a year now, and am pretty satisfied, for the most part. My one minor complaint is the fact that "Library" is unreliable. Very often, shows that have been recorded, or were about to be recorded, do not show up in the "Library". For this amount of money, I expect better.

Even with the largest live TV streaming audience, KZbinTV seems to have its fair share of quirks and/or limitations. AT&T's U-Verse service was generally without these types of quirks or limitations. That said, the cost of U-Verse had gone through the roof by the time we cut the cord in March 2023. I guess you get what you pay for.

They really are slow about rolling out their fixes and upgrades, but normally when you get them, they work well. At least that's been my experience.

Only issue I had with KZbin TV was a DVR bug that deleted my recordings of a show. KZbin TV fixed the DVR bug but all my previous recorded episodes still didn't return.

I only get that "Who's watching" selection if I click on MAX. I've had KZbinTV now for close to two years and love it. Our local cable company was getting ridiculously expensive.. When I turn on KZbinTV, it starts at HOME.. One click to LIVE and that's it. 🥰

For "Who's watching," you can click settings right below the profile icons and tell it to not show that screen every time. I should have mentioned that!

YTTV on Apple TV doesn't play the jaring start up sound. As for font, look at accessibility settings. you can adjust font settings, or enable magnifier. if it is bad you can enable Voiceover or Talkback on the Roku.

@MichaelSaves Michael, It doesn't matter how many shows you mark ( DON'T SHOW MW THIS ) the repopulate themselves on a desktop computer. Once you mark them don't show me this and go to the live guide and then back to HOME you will see they are back.

Hmmm. I haven't had that issue. Can I suggest something? Make sure you that you do not have watch history paused. I have some details here about deleting watch history, but you find the toggle about pausing it in the same place: michaelsaves.com/streaming/change-youtube-tv-settings/#deletehistory

To the folks in the comment section saying they “switched from YTTV to Premium”, that’s apples to oranges, comparing live tv to videos you watch from content creators

True, but a lot of people test out YTTV (or a competitor) and realize they don't need live TV anymore. I think that's what people are getting at.

With all the older and current shows you can watch on-demand on Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, etc., that’s what I thought as a better comparison to ditch live tv, but there’s definitely just as much content here. Premium is definitely worth it to avoid the constant ads, too!

One workaround for having KZbin TV open at start up with a Roku is to use the voice remote Pro. This remote has user programmable macro buttons that can be set to any app that has been downloaded. You can then press that macro button even when the TV is turned off and it will power on an open KZbin TV. whether using a Roku TV or standalone Roku streamer. as far as I know, the voice remote pro can be used with any Roku device that was released in the last five years or so.

Yes, I have this remote and use the button #2 for YTTV. Good point and something I could have demonstrated in the video. What I think people would like is for KZbin TV to open and directly go to live TV (last channel), not a home screen. I get this request mostly from people who have older loved ones who find streaming complicated.

On my Samsung TV it will automatically load youtube if it was already on but not on my firestick

I just switched to KZbin TV from DirecTV Stream. My network says I’m getting about 400mbps download speeds-so network speed isn’t a problem and I’m using an Ethernet connection not WiFi on my Roku device…Redzone channel defaults to 480p in KZbin and when I switch it to 720 (it doesn’t give me an option for higher resolution) it’s non-stop buffering. I still have DirecTV for another couple weeks…Redzone comes in HD no problems there and no buffering…KZbin TV is not ready for prime-time…! Next up, going to give FUBO a try!

Is this a You Tube TV, Roku, or Samsung TV issue: When I am watching a show in my library (e.g., SVU, season 23, episode 4) if I pause it and do not return within 5 mins it reverts back to the Home screen. Then I have to find that particular season and episode and restart it. Why can't it just pause the show and when I press replay after 5 mins it continues on showing the show?

On KZbin TV,, on my screen of TV, in France, with my box (Orange supplier), the images are all completely scrambled and/or in very low resolution, and that makes me laugh because even the ads have a disgusting image; the advertisers will be happy (lol)!! I don't understand why, a week ago, the image was correct on KZbin tv, and now it is no longer!! It's completely random. Have an idea ?

youtube tv in France, the specialist in crappy videos, and when they work, already: the image broadcast is real trash. KZbin TV technicians are total rubbish. It deserves a trial for having the nerve to distribute such crap! Image is blurred, videos are stopped very often for uploading, or stop . The vision of one only film would take 10 hours , for certain.. It 's horrific !!! youtube tv is a very , very big shit !!!

I have very few issues with KZbin tv. The main issue is the lack of control over your library that you mentioned. What I really want is for them to get the MLB Network back and offer MLB TV as an add-on again.

System Sounds can be easily toggled on/off on Chromecast with Google TV: Google TV Settings/Display and Sound/System Sounds. Display and Sound is the first option under General Settings. It's not like the toggle is in developer options.

On the Apple TV box, if you turn off your TV/system while YTTV is playing, YTTV will auto-play when you turn it back on. If less than 4 hours have passed, it will often resume playing time-shifted back to when you turned your tv off. This and the live previews in the guide and mini guide make YTTV a much better experience on Apple TV than on Roku. The thing I wish they would add is the ability to change channels using voice commands (Siri or Roku Voice remote).

with a Chromcast remote, you can program the "KZbin" button to open KZbin TV and it works just fine.

One thing that really irks me is the poor DVR. It continually records new episodes and repeats. What's worse is that it auto plays right into the next recorded program.

Correct. The DVR is designed to record new episodes and repeats. KZbin TV's competitors give you more flexibility with that!

I am just fed up with the 2 minutes of the show then 4 minutes of repetitive commercials, repeat. I end up switching off more things than I watch. MAX ads are particularly annoying. I would not buy MAX if it was the last streaming service on the planet because of their incessant ads!

Another thing that irks me is that they will carry the WNBA, which hardly anyone watches, but no MLB Network. MLB draws tons more viewers than the pathetic WNBA.

I think that's a financial calculation. Also, the WNBA is having a moment and there is a lot of attention on Caitlin Clark. I think there will be a lot of growth in the years ahead.

Before you use to say what a great deal KZbin TV was and here you're saying KZbin is very expensive. Makes alot of sense! I think KZbin is a rip off to be honest. And you not having control over prices is BS!! I'm paying $79/mo while i see others paying cheaper. 🙄

Hi! I have never said KZbin TV was inexpensive. It is the best live TV service for those who want a cable TV replacement, but it has flaws.
