She may not feel as though she had taken advantage because her father has always bailed her out. He deserves utmost thanks and appreciation for all he's done for these two. That really hit home for me too! My whole family is Catholic and my father is exactly the same! Always put family and especially his children first, work hard, be understanding and loving always! When Emily showed both rings the night she got the one from Kobe in front of her family, she said "I paid for it with my money". Her dad said "what money" or "you have money", something like that with a confused look but it was never addressed again. So her dad didn't even know she had money.
