They’re honestly pretty wholesome. Like they’re both off their rocker and clearly lucky as hell that they have any financial security, but they love each other, he clearly cares about her and the baby, he’s trying to get along with the son (who I do feel sorry for, I wouldn’t want a front row seat to this even if I am rooting for them lmao - he’s more mature than either of them and it can’t be easy if this is your mum) and is willing to do shitty work if thats what he needs to do. I know she was concerned he had cheated but atp I doubt it and it definitely doesn’t seem like he has any intention to now, he’s making a real effort with her language…like, again, he’s a crazy manchild, but she knew that well before marrying him and clearly she enjoys it. Far from perfect, but it’s the first couple I’ve seen on this show that doesn’t make me wanna rip my eyes out or dread their kids well-being.

As a developmentally disabled person (like I assume he is), I can say that kind of responsibility is a make or break moment My mom is AuDHD and got herself together to raise me, and she did an amazing job My AuDHD boyfriend got himself together to raise his daughter I got myself together to take care of my mom when she got muscular dystrophy, and us adopting a dog made me even more responsible and calm The most important thing is recognizing your weaknesses and finding reliable support I'm terrible with finances and math, so either my mom or my boyfriend help me with them My boyfriend isn't great with nutrition or cooking, so I help him with that Combining our skills and resources, we take care of each other and the children and animals who depend on us
