Considering that for centuries women had no rights and were property having a husband able to support her and the kids was the only survival option but as soon as women started to get rights and assests a bunch of healthy young men jumped on the bandwagon and they don't even take as many risks as getting pregnant or being victim of physical DV. I know plenty of stories of passport bros bringing a wife from a developing country to the west and immediately start to abuse her..eventually killing her. Two weeks ago a portuguese year old man killed his 31 year old wife from Bissau (africa). They met in bissau when he was 53 and her 20. He took her to Portugal and had 2 kids with her. The control immediately started with isolation (easy because all her family was in africa), cameras inside de house, beating her, not allowing her to play sports, she only had permission to go to work and comeback (nursery home). She finally had enough, pressed charges and moved out with her kids. He killed her 2 weeks after at her front door when she was leaving to work.
