As a Tamilan I can confirm whatever you said about the tamil movie review youtubers. These Tamil reviewers will hate or troll movies like Bahubali, RRR, Kashmir files, Kerala Story, Pushpa 2, Devara, Amaran, etc and subtly they will tag the Tamil audiences as non intelligent who watch these movies. Amaran became superhit, even when the Tamil actor Suriya's Kanguva was struggling in theatre the telugu dub movie Lucky Bhaskar was a hit, Pushpa was a hit, and the success of these 3 movies was a strong punch on the faces of so called elite critics.

The main reason for tamil and malayali movies( despite being technically and creativity wise extremely talented) not being popular among all india/hindi audience thus not collecting 1000cr plus is their obsession for periyari /Maoist content.They infuse that nonsense into almost every movie they make.even when they make movies based on real life stories they make sure they follow their periyari/maoist rule book. Now also, he is the most popular Telugu actor in Kerala. In fact he reserved one Malayalam song, Peeling in Pushpa 2. Also if we notice, pure Malayalam theme films are not doing well. Aavesham pandered to Bangalore crowd, Premalu to Hyderabad/Andhra, Manjummel Boys to Tamil. Their state is such that there is no rootedness, so there is a need for real cinema which entertains common man like Pushpa, not pseudo intellectuals who fund the films from Dubai. 2024 was a fantastic year for Malayalam movies. I think you are looking at the collections from the pan India perspective. Regarding ARM which did quite good business, I found it not that great. But it’s bit unfair to call it woke. What they showed was kind of true. Unless you really don’t wanna accept it. Besides, Malayalam movies bash other religions as well. For instance, check out Trance movie for Fafas one of the best performances. I was shocked they could show the stuff about the evangelical mafia on screen.

I usually don't comment in KZbin videos but this video is so misleading you are just twisting the topic to support your idea, considering ki only 26 movie hi profitable he, jin KZbinrs ko aap elite critics bolte ho unhone shayad hi iske beyond wali malayalam films ko dekha aur promote kara hoga. The films that were in the mainstream that these KZbinrs have supported were Aavesham, Manjummal boys, Aadujeevitham, Kishkinda Kandam, Branayugam, ARM, Marco etc and all these films have been commercial successes in Kerala and a few other films like Attam have won awards in various film festivals. Whatever may be your ideology these are good quality contents and good contents if promoted well always has a place among Malayali audiences. I have seen videos and news regarding the same report by the producers association in malayalam and most of the comments said the same thing 'if the film is good it will do well, audience ka kaam nahi he ek film ko profitable banana.' For your info Pushpa did not do well in kerala box office while movies like RRR, bahubali etc had done well in the past because they are good films. Even for a star like Mohanlal his recent films Marakkar and Barozz both big budgets have failed because movie accha nahi tha. I know you hate The great indian kitchen but if you ask any malayali youth majority will have good things to say about the film because atleast some elements of the film would have strongly resonated with them and if that film was also released in theaters in Kerala it would have made profit. We make small budget films and try do something innovative with it, if the film succeeds it will be appreciated, more than half of the telugu films will flop in Kerala because they are not good quality films and that's it. Good films do well Understand the film culture of the state before you make videos like these not everything is political.

All his reviews are like that only...agenda inspired. He barely says about movie technicalities and art of making. Actually those are not exactly review what he does, more appropriately it is his side of political-religious narrative of every movie. As per this man and his followers, every Indian movie(which come out more than 1000 in number per year) must follow a single rule, single plot, single narrative. Basically kill the creativity for the sake of a particular religious belief; that's what these extremists trying to convey. And lastly, he is even misleading with the statistical figure of BO profit/loss. Literally he is lying to aid his political viewpoint. Any movie with a dark theme and deep message is conveyed as woke and leftist/communism by him. They will praise a weak movie like Pushpa but bash a good movie like The great Indian kitchen.
