I have been watching Adam for months and although I’m a former assistant professional, his instructions have substantially improved my ball contact and control. I have introduced Adam to several of my golf buddies. He is by far the best golf instructor!

Years ago I was a disciple of stack sand Tilt, this ruined my driver and made me wary or a swing that didn’t have a weight shift feeling . The way Porzak describes the swing process he teaches, has really helped me to use some old feels of staying forward. This has really helped me in the last few months, This is my favorite go to swing channel. Thanks guys

The hip bump has been transcending. Have always struggled with getting to my lead side. Even when I thought i got the shift to the right side (lefty) it obviously was too much as my rotation didn't improve and my lead knee paid the price. Along with a little O/ in the knee, not a good combo. Great instruction Adam, love your videos!

Adam appreciate the channel and always look forward to Monday’s and Friday’s. Scale of 1 - 10 how important is hip mobility?

Great video. One question, do you use the same hip bump pivot point when swinging a driver as you teach with the irons?

With your lead hip/leg as the anchor point, does the keep most of your weight on the lead side if you’re doing this properly?
@nebula52411 ай бұрын
i notice that your feet are perpendicular to target line, as opposed to typically flared out toes. is this a critical ingredient in the post and hip bump?
@winsyong11 ай бұрын
I think it depends on which point you feel you are shifting from. If you are tracing from your belly button or belt buckle, maybe. But if you trace it from the centre of your pelvic area there’s a small lateral shift back and a larger shift forward.

One thing that Ive noticed isn't mentioned is that pressure as you go into your backswing has to go down into the ground, where as the majority of players (myself Included) the pressure goes upwards and out of the ground which contributes to swaying and also poor transition as you cannot feel when the pressure has shifted effectively into the leadside so you're constantly trying to manufacture the downswing causing all sorts of issues.

What are your thoughts on AMG golf Recentering? also Dr. Kwon , shift turn shift turn ,also dana dahlquist ,they all say that professional golfers do not set up in a reverse K setup . In a reverse K setup ,the hips turn to flat in the backswing , thoughts?

HELP! Enormous fan of yours and very aware of your talent...BUT...why do the GEARS guys insist the tour pros have a significant squat and slide toward the target while the upper body stays back. Precisely what you demonstrated is so dangerous....the GEARS guys insist GEARS proves is what must be done. I AM SO CONFUSED!!!
@TheBooze1311 ай бұрын
Not a fan of the gears guys
@seanm322611 ай бұрын
The GEARS guys show you what the pros are actually doing in the swing. You can choose to ignore if you want.
@enzy643411 ай бұрын
I watch both and you absolutely are taking what the "gears" guys are saying way out of context. AMG never suggests ever sliding towards the target. It's literally re-centering that happens naturally when you shift weight back to the left side and rotate through the shot, you naturally move the hips forward slightly. And you don't "keep the upper body back".. I have no idea where you're getting this from in their videos, lol. Never in the golf swing should you ever be consciously thinking "okay I'm going to move my hips towards the target now and slide forward".
@JohanNordlund11 ай бұрын
As above says, they dont insist it must be done, they just show that the center point does move that way in the swing for pretty much all pros. It is not a conscious move but a result of turning/weight shifting correctly.
@McTwist93711 ай бұрын
Agree with the above, these guys and the AMG are both saying the same thing

Unfortunately, ppl see the weight transfer in 2D and is translated into a "horizontal" slide. But that is far from what is happening. Looking at the best players in the world, majority of them will start with their weight fairly neutral (50/50). Their weight is then transferred to the outside of their trail foot in the ball of the foot region. As they continue to make their turn (backswing) the weight moves along the outside of the trail foot to the heel making its way around the heel from the outside to the inside (clockwise). Just before they complete their backswing the weight is then transferred back to the lead foot in the ball of the foot region. This weight transferred is referred to as "re-centering" and to the naked eye in 2D it looks like a horizontal slide towards the target, but it's not. Their hips have started their rotation too as this transfer happens. The weight then moves to the outside of the lead foot in the ball of the foot region and then moves towards the heel which allows the lead foot to rotate a bit towards the target (this is more prevalent in the driver swing and far less prevalent in short irons). Some players have a larger re-centering than others, just depends on how much lateral motion they have in their backswing. Again, looking at tour players you will see very little to more than an 1 or 2. But it is not a sway back , its a slight horizontal move with rotation. What's great about what is being taught here is that it takes a lot of guess work out the swing and makes it relatively simple for most any golfer to do.
