Man the late 80s and the 90s were just the greatest time to be alive. I was just 11 years old at this time about to turn 12. I remember these days as if they were yesterday.

I had just turned 12 that summer. I think the 90s were the last great time to be a young adult.

Man, do I feel that. Sometimes I dream partial memories/ partial dreams about those times and the way me and my parents and siblings were then. When I wake up from those dreams, it takes me about half a minute to realize now is reality. What I wouldn't give to live a new week in those times with the knowledge I have now, to just appreciate the simple things like: hanging out with my older brothers in their room, petting our dog Shadow on the carpet of the living room floor, sitting down for meals together as a family, playing together with my sister with my He-Man, Ghostbusters, Ninja Turtles, X-Men, Spider-man, Power Rangers or Star Trek toys in my room or around the house and using our imaginations to come up with scenarios for them, watching Star Trek the Next Generation together as a family on Saturday nights, being on (the now decommissioned) McClellan Air Force Base where my dad was stationed at the Base Exchange with my brothers or the pool with our sister and parents, going to Tower Records on Watt avenue with my oldest brother when he'd sneak over there and he have to take me with him and bribe me for my silence with some See's Candy. Those times feel more vivid and alive in my mind than most of what's happened in my adult life over the past 20 years.

October 28th, 1991. I was 14 and in the Eighth Grade. I had gotten a Genesis with Sonic for my birthday that summer (this was before Sonic became the pack in game), so I was all about Sega at the time, though I would get a Super Nintendo in 92 with my own money when Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past came out. I collect for Nintendo and Super Nintendo today, so this time period (especially in gaming) is fresh in my mind.

Huggies Pull Ups- 🎶 Mommy, Wow! I'm A Big Kid Now! 🎶 I've seen this commercial lots of times as a kid and as soon as I saw it in this video, that jingle just pops into my head and stays there. That's how catchy it is.

Fantasia-actually preferred the original release over the remastered version Seinfeld-the classic "lost in the parking garage" episode Quantum Leap-i think the reboot's pilot paid homage to this story House Party 2-the House Party films.. another where a reboot is not needed (there's one coming to theaters soon, with Lebron James) The Cosby Show -Vanessa's boyfriend broke up with her soon after Cheers-Woody enjoyed stabbing that pumpkin Wings-R.I.P Farrah Forke The Gambler Returns:The Luck Of The Draw-shame Kenny never made another Gambler film😞 She Says She's Innocent-..but will the courts believe her..?

@2:30 in the Ragu commercial, is that Christine Taylor? I remember watching her on Hey Dude on Nickelodeon as a kid. One of my childhood crushes. Didn't realize until many years later she was the same actress in Zoolander.

It's a shame most of these tv movies are just not available anywhere, if only for the sake of preventing lost media.

I don’t remember that Tampax commercial at all, I like the Etta James song. I hadn’t even gotten my period yet when these commercials aired. Whenever I watch vintage commercials late at night, I always really start craving some food product that’s no longer made. Food just tasted better back then.
