90's Commercials Vol. 9

These commercials aired on local Sacramento Affiliate KRBK 31 in November of 1990. Apologies for the quality, but better than nothing, right? Thanks to my cousin David for recording these.
1. Cap'n Crunch (YUM!)
2. Hot Wheels Convertibles (I had all three of these cars as a kid, and I never knew they changed colors)
3. Greater Sacramento International Auto Show
4. Rice Krispies (With Omri Katz)
5. Chuck E. Cheeses (That costume is the stuff of nightmares)
6. Promo for "The Muppets Take Manhattan" (One of my favorite movies as a kid. Totally and utterly 80's)
7. Susie Scribbles (More creepy dolls to haunt you forever. Yay.)
8. Domino's Pizza (With The Noid!)
9. G.I. Joe Sonic Fighters (Those kids are hardcore)
10. Teddy Ruxpin Telephone (What is up with these kids' voices? No wonder they have to talk to a stuffed animal)
11. Frosted Flakes (Karen is such a bitch)
12. Nintendo Game Boy (With Brian Austin Green)
13. Wedding Fantasy Barbie
14. Barbie Ferrari
15. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Action Figures (I had all of these except the Raphael. The Donatello in disguise figure was one of my favorites)

5:04--That would be Thurl Ravenscroft. Admittedly, most of these commercials are not familiar to me because I was a college freshman in November 1990 and had outgrown "kiddie" shows, but I remember that Frosted Flakes jingle very well.

Two more things: My sister had a Barbie Ferrari. I however used it to put action figures in and I believe I pulled the seats and things out. When that Game Boy commercial with Brian Austin Green came out, his fiancee Megan Fox was only three.

Was it just a 90s thing, or do the kids still say "I love you" to their dolls at the end of the ads? That was always so weird to me. And did anyone else notice the "Barbie's into her Ferrari" or whatever line there was like "Come on Barbie let's go party" in the Barbie Girl song? :O ooh spooky.

5:04--They are still around! Interestingly, they were originally branded as "Sugar Frosted Flakes Of Corn," although the words "Frosted Flakes" have always featured most prominently on the packaging.
