I worked for a buddy collecting money from his laundromat a while back, the clink of the pre-64s was un-mistakable....as long as he got the right amount of money he did not care that I swapped out the silver for clad coins......good times!

Fantastic video but me personally I would of kept those half spears as is, they looked cool. I would've used them for back round Instagram photos props as I show off poured/vintage bars. 👍

They were pretty cool looking. Def would of made good props 😁

I love your videos. I wish you were more active. What is the best way to turn pig iron into shot? Or is there a way to turn it into a powder and then melt and turn to shot?

I agree with doing things differently for the experience! Yes, I also would have melted that into shot as well. Taking the extra time just once justifies the time and effort into shot all other times. They were cool to watch though, you have to admit that!

So I did watch your video and I did everything about the same as what you were doing, but my solution went from that beautiful cobalt blue to black colored. I don’t know if I had too many impurities in the silver, but I’m not sure what to do now it’s all the silver that I had and I’m trying not to lose it. Can you please tell me what I need to do to fix the problem because I would like to cement the silver out using copper but I’m not sure if it will work or not.

I don't know what turned it black, but you won't lose any silver from it. I'd dilute it with distilled water and introduce the copper.

Do you have any videos of extracting silver from raw ore? We have access to an abandoned silver mine. Thanks for your direction.

I don't work with ore very often. But I'd sure enjoy watching you do some metal detecting at the mine!!!

Hooked on your videos. You're a pro. Love your need for perfecction on the 5 oz gold bar pour. Curious as to why you didn't make 'corn flakes' outta that Ag to achieve your results faster. Keep up the super good work!

I appreciate you taking the time to watch the vids! Thank you!! Normally I would indeed melt big pieces like this down into shot/corn flakes. I left these whole simply for the vid and the experience.

Love learning about this. I know you are doing an expirement but i would of melted into shot for the added surface area.

Thanks for watching! I totally agree, melting into shot first is definitely a good idea. Those big chunks took forever lol

A kilo of impure silver is how much is extracted from crystal
@LithicMetals4 жыл бұрын
I guess it depends on the level of impurities
