In 1968, my uncle was killed in a collision between his 1965 Ford Fairlane and a semi-tractor trailer. The accident literally removed his face, from the chin to the top of his head. I loved my uncle, and any difference in his appearance would have been burned in my mind. I know of his injuries because of accident photos I saw many years later. The mortician was an artist beyond compare. He recreated my uncle's face -in wax- so perfectly one would have thought he'd gone to the accident scene and found the original unscathed and put it back in place. Madame Toussand's would have been fortunate indeed to have had an artist of his skill. THEY must work from a time-consuming live-cast mold of their subjects to do what that mortician did from a single photo. And, he did this in only three days! Why such a morbid post? Because of the tragedy that is the face on that still living, breathing, and famous singer, Wayne Newton. It is beyond unpleasant to see so many celebrities voluntarily have their faces removed and replaced with..., well, the face of an unrepaired corpse. People still, today, speak in wonder; "What the Hell was Michael Jackson thinking?" Compared to Newton and many other famous people Michael looked good. Poor Wayne, where the hell was a good mortician when he needed one.

Seriously? Poor man? This guy has enjoyed the best of life. He has entertained many of us for decades, and we have loved his works. Why is he a "poor man"? He is a blessed man who has been able to lead a full life and entertain hundreds of millions of people. Mr. Lewis has left his mark on the world and is hardly a "poor man".

I remember Jerry when I was a kid I loved all his films , some were sad to he always got sticky end of stick in some love type films . I wish to thank him for my happy memories of his films ❤️. Folks his private life is just that , hate to see peeps remarks about his kids different era we were not there ! We all make mistakes ! I used to get swift crack round the ear in 60's of parents that's how it was then , not child beaters !!! Give him credit for all the joy he have to viewers all over the world he deserves that .

You mean "Mad and angry in desperation" The one thing I will never understand, how when young, he appeared to be humble and meek, and as old, he turn rude and arrogant, as if all of a sudden he felt invincible??? and I mean when he was still alive.

L B they lie through their teeth. They worked with him on telethons until 2010. They earned their paycheck beside him all their lives. They changed the story when he died. When he can not defend himself. And his kids refused to pay their mom's nursing home, Jerry paid it until he died. Bet they did not mention that. That's inexcusable, really.

Jerry was my favorite when I was a kid, I would stay up late on the weekend to his movies. He always filled me with joy. His telethon work for MD kids shows his great compassion for children and the sick. He is one of a kind, and Hollywood should take note of the fine human being who worked on film and set a great example of what a star could do to touch so many hearts.
