1930’s would have to be my favourite era for cars. Beautiful curvaceous lines, quality materials used, assembled by men not machines & timeless elegance 😍

From the mid 20s to the early 40's After that they started looking like hard-shell bugs. they stayed that way all the way into the late 60's there were a few exceptions like the T-Bird and the Corvett. Ford came out with the mustang. But for the most part the 60's cars pretty much sucked. Then the 70's and they all turned into boxes and stayed that way until the late 80's The 90's came along and they started putting lines back in cars, given them that sleek animal lines to them. Don't like boxy diamond cut cars. Give me the long lines that have aerodynamic curves to them.

The reason why the rubber on the tires still work better than the new ones is because it was produced mainly by the rubber tree plant so it was real rubber today tires are made out of synthetic rubber

Planned obsolescence. Lots of products were made better back in the day. Problem was they were too good and you wouldn't need new tires unless you put lots of miles on them. After WWII when people started moving around the country, there was a demand for better tires so the tire industry did all sorts of research into better treads against road hazards, bad weather, poorly maintained highways, etc. And the shift to synthetic materials for better treads had the side effect of having not-so-great sidewalls, and that's where we see most of the crackling from tires sitting unused for years.

What I love seeing about this channel is saving older cars that could have easily been sent to the scrap yard due to severe damage, but are saved from going there. It is awesome to take any car in bad shape and give it a new life again. Incredible work guys!

That car reflects the Art Deco movement of the 1930s. The Empire State building and the Chrysler building in New York City are also built with this design principle. With their sloped hoods and hooded wheels, the cars were designed to appear in movement, even when they were parked. Absolutely beautiful!

Guys, this has to be my most favorite detail to date! RJ you really looked (and sounded) the "paht" with that New England accent. You're hilarious! I think what impresses me the most is the respect you show these vehicles when doing what you and the caring you have. I don't know who picked out the background music for this video but It was absolutely spot on!! I'm 76 years old and have a great respect for the "Big Band" era. I have to tell on my self here.....when you showed the B-Roll and the full shot of this beautiful Chrysler, all shiny and new looking, it actually brought a tear to my eyes. Those were the days guys! Well nothing was run by automated machines back then so there was a standard for how things were done. It was on an assembly line but all assembled by hand. So its quality is gonna be a lot better and higher grade than anything now.

Wow, what a transformation. I think this is the best one you’ve ever done I remember as a kid we inherited a 1935 Packard from my grandfather after he passed away and it looked exactly like this car. Great job guys.

SO SATISFYING AND BEAUTIFUL. As a young boy ( 6 or 7 ), we were driven to Vavation Bible School by a local farmer who owned one of these. The smell still is embedded in my brain / nostrils and the seats...OMG THE SEATS. So big and so beautiful. I love how you dudes embrace and respect all vehicles and the eras they are from. WELL DONE. OBTW...CHROME IS MY VICE. One more thing..THE EMBLEMS UNDER EACH WINDOW... YES, VERY COOL.

Being an OLD person, I'd have to say my favorite decade for car design would have to be the SIXTIES !!! . . . I'm sure Frank is out having a good time, just like he should. ( I also think you should clean up that 1968 Chevy Caprice station wagon in that house - my neighbors bought a new one just like it ) BLACK MAGIC Bleach White Spray is what you need for white wall tires, I've been using it for years.

I was born in 1970, and I have always loved the Oldsmobile land yachts from the late 60's and all through the 70's. I've owned several Oldsmobiles throughout my life. The actual S.O.S. pad originally came out all the way back in 1917! It has been my 'go-to' cleaner for whitewalls since my first car - A 1975 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon, and I still use them today to remove stubborn stains one white walls. Oh yeah, it also works great on chrome too.

My favorite decade for cars is the 1950s: the styling is unmatched before or since. Plus, they came out with many new technologies for cars, and some very powerful engines, too. That said, I love the cars from the ‘30s and ‘40s, too!

What it holds the air, is not the tire itself, is the rubber tube inside the tire…

The tire has no cracking like an older modern tire would and that is due to it being real authentic rubber from a rubber tree and not the synthetic rubber used on modern tires and tubes.

Beautiful car! Per what is my favorite part of the detailing process? I enjoyed seeing the tire white walls go from brown to bright white! I enjoy scrubbing the raised white letters on my truck tires with Bleche-Wite to get them bright white.

The buttons on top on the windows, you pull them out to turn on the wipers, there's 2, one on each side, push them in to turn them off. Cause I have a 35/36 custom airstream DeSoto but mine has a different dashboard

I absolutely love old cars like this. My father was a car fanatic and he would buy old cars, restore and sell them. I remember he had one with a rumble seat. I cant remember what kind but I think it may have been a Model A Ford. He held on to that one for a while and he would drive around with my sister and me in the rumble seat. Loved it. This was back in the 60s. That is the one I wished he had kept.

I am so happy to see that the young generation shows enthusiasm over preserving this beautiful old Chrysler. You asked what is the favorite part to watch.. the spray pre-cleaners used after vacuuming the outside paint. To preserve the paint for the debris would no doubt scratch the surface with rubbing with soap and water. Very meticulous work, and right now, I'm only thru 21:06 in the program. Two thumbs up guys. Oh, and yes, the 1930's threads and cap looked snappy. You looked nice.. maybe someday, folks will return to dress attire as one has pride in their appearance.

While I've never owned a 30s Airflow, I have owned a virtual twin to the Caprice Estate wagon in the background. As a family car, we had a '68 Caprice wagon that was really loaded up, including automatic a/c, factory level ride suspension, power EVERYTHING and the topper - a 396 engine! Our kids loved the "way back" seat. Cool video on the Chrysler. Sorry I got sidetracked.

My first time watching one of your videos and it was awesome. The car had such great quality, detail and character. Being a newer Mopar, this car is amazing in its detail. Great video and awesome detail and attention to preservation. As for the whitewalls, I have always used Comet Cleanser with bleach and a simple scrub brush. Brillo pads may be a little to course on older white walls and lettering though I've never used them for that. Only the real chrome like this Chrysler obviously has. Great job and awesome to watch you get into character and period correct music.

I've had the opportunity to ride in some pretty old cars. 😁 Like an old Willies Jeep with 2 little buttons over the windshield. These were of the push/ pull variety to operate each wiper. We took that old Jeep on a cross country trip. When it rained when Mom was driving, I needed to operate the wipers, pushing and pulling them until the rain stopped. We also could go no faster than 55 mph and sometimes drove along the side of the road to let cars pass. We called it "dodging mailboxes" and laughed. Mom's birthday was yesterday, she would have been 94. Thanks for the memories of that fun adventure with her. 🥰
