my wife and i had a 1987 IROC, black and gold edition, every available factory option, special ordered with the Corvette 5.7L. it was our pride and joy. the wife and daughter had gone shopping. got home, just pulled in the driveway and stopped so she could check the mailbox. before she could open the door, a 16 y/o girl, on her phone, veered off the road and t-boned the car. the daughter got some bumps and a few decents scratches but overall she was not too bad. wife didn't get any injuries as it was hit on the passenger side. the beautiful screamin' machine sacrificed herself to protect my family and was completely totaled. the girl who hit us had some decently serious injuries but she survived. i remember it like it happened yesterday because i was standing on the front porch and watched it happen. that was the 3rd and last IROC i ever owned.

So how much does a bone stock 1991 240SX SE Manual Transmission go for? I have one in storage, 212k on it, engine needs work as well as a few other things that are all replaceable or fixable. Mine is the exact same color as this one, but the 1991 SE came with alloy rims, not those plastic wheel covers on this one. No teenager got ahold of mine and destroyed it by turning it into some sorta drifting monstrosity, even though i was a teenager when i got it back in 1994.

My poor dad drove beaters my whole life. First he had an old CJ5, then a mid 80s Cutlass, then he got my moms old 1980 Mazda 626, and a 1991 hyundai excel hatchback. My entire sophmore year we push started the hyundai because he was too cheap to get a new starter.

Kudos to another excellent video. This made my day. Having owned and still own multiple Cadillacs, there is no time to rush detailing them. There is alot of chrome, trimwork, etc... The grille itself is a task. Loved the video, Loved the car. Thank You. The Power steering fluid pushing up like that comes from turning the wheels back and forth without the pump running. It essentially pushes the fluid backward through the system and the pressure has to go somewhere. I loved the fact that this had chrome mirrors, most have color matched. Loved that you noted the hand painted pin stripes, and the Gold Key package.

Very very common cars here in NZ from late 50’s to 80’s and still lots on the road. Pre runners to the minis etc. everyone my age got a lift to school on a Rainey day by someone’s mum in a morris. The indicators were called trafficaters, I think.
