I want to to hook up a 30 ton trailer on the back of my 9900i. Can the transmission handle that in hilly terrain?

What is 'ps' anyway. You don't even explain why 'ps' is different than 'hp'
@luki123546 жыл бұрын
yes i was thinking the same what is the difference between ps and hp?
@BeingMe236 жыл бұрын
Well JD doesn't care, it's all about manipulation.😜 They know people are taught more is better! But they never talk about a competitors machine. 🤫 Could have LESS HP and higher torque with a higher torque rise vs JD model which would out perform the V12 JD! 😆 Keep the viewer in the dark "what they don't know won't hurt them. 😐 JD is very financially insecure like any major corporation and want to stay on top in the USA by any means possible. 🤑

This is a European imported machine because the PS is zeroed off vs odd HP numbers. PS = 0.986 HP Plus the "round off 1000 PS" is a marketing gimmick... 🙈
@luki123546 жыл бұрын
I always thought PS and HP is the same because PS means Pferdestärke which is german and means horsepower.

How many rows can it take?
@JohnDeere6 жыл бұрын
Ivan, that depends on what front-end equipment is used with the forage harvester. For example, pickups are available in 3.0 m (9 ft. 9 in.), 4.0 m (13 ft. 1 in.), or 4.5 m (14 ft. 8 in.). Large drum headers are available in 6-, 8-, 10- or 12-row, and small drum headers are available in 4-, 6-, 8-, 10-, or 12-row configurations. For more information we would recommend contacting your local dealer. If needed, you can find your local dealer at dealerlocator.deere.com.

Great machine, but Dairy farmers in U.S. are getting fleeced, a half million for a cutter while milk prices plummet! Help the 3 million dairy farmers , 50k coal miners ain't even in the race !

vettelover2009 it’s not only horsepower that makes a chopper good. 8000 series was a fail so they quit making it for this. Most likely not fixing the issues they had with the 8000s.
@jackhutton92036 жыл бұрын
they make there own heads and claas also has a v12 made by MAN
@jamie961296 жыл бұрын
Vettelover2009: I knew a guy who bought the 8600i Pro-drive with the 375 kemper head, the header hit the ground on the right side while harvesting and the whole chopper housing flexed and the knives hit the counter knife and blew the whole chopper system up. The guy went bankrupt because he lost 6 weeks of the season while the brain dead John Deere mechanics tried to fix it. The new machines look smart, but John deere has become such a money whore that you cant fix anything yourself anymore and their mechanics are also too dumb for these hightech machines.
@jacemininger97156 жыл бұрын
vettelover2009 they have big issues with a lot things if you put them up against new holland or claas. Their kernel star processer was a joke. Always plugging and spinning out on the feed. Plus it did a pretty bad job. We ran a 8600 and two times in the last year we hit a small wash(normal for around these parts) and the shearbar went into the knives, wrecking the cutter bar and processer. Lots of computer stress and so on. Never seemed to add up to what other companies manufacture especially class and nh.
@jacemininger97156 жыл бұрын
Fum3s absolutely same here. Same issue same story. The 8000 series was a total flop and like normal jd im sure they didn’t fix the real problems they just added a motor which they didn’t need and a bigger screen on the armrest and called it the 9000 series.
