Born in 1993, Johnny Yu is a jewelry designer. Zhang Ziyi once wore a pair of earrings designed by him on a TV show and won lots of admiration. Johnny Yu is recognized by his unique luxury designs integrating elements such as oriental traditional opera and religious culture and western neo-classical drama and science fiction. ‘Nowadays as minimalism enjoys wide popularity, I still want to be myself as a believer of finery,’ said him.

I am so inspired and more motivated to carry on with my spiritual works, His work of art is for sure a manifestation of and invisible force. When he mentioned each tiny piece is spiritual and each like his child was as if he heard me say it all the time and it echoed reminding me that I too am as he. His handiwork is intricate with lots of attention to details. His head dresses are striking and surely to turn heads. But.... His earrings are too much of a statement. Way Too large. Sometimes subtlety can make a bigger statement if they complement the wearer, not overwhelm her.
