What are the types of mesh surgery? Revision, removal, non-invasive, invasive ? These are things that the potential patient such as myself, should be entitled to know .

They vary by type of hernia. This is a good discussion to have with your surgeon.

They call it "laparoscopic surgery inguinal. Hernia repair there is one positive: my member actually grew a couple of inches I was so obsessed with removing the pain... that well,you can figure out the rest.

What is another name for them ambulance chasers. BUT- the complaints of complications are very real. The PAIN is very very real. The destruction of my libido, my sexual function- is more real than the existence of hell itself Think I'm making it up? Did you know that this borrowed 3D Max hernia mesh has been recalled back in 2008? My surgeon installed my hernia mesh which is still inside my body by the way in 2013? Explain to me how that lapse in judgment could have happened to so-called professional surgeon, and the fact that there's now a growing medical field of just the specific surgery of hernia mesh removal?

A surgeon should never use any medical device (including mesh), which hasn't been properly tested and approved. And not wait for legislation to be created, to only use tested devices. Do you agree?

Mesh has been tested and is FDA approved.

I had the recalled kugle hernia mesh in 2005 . Just an fyi for people , bake then the mesh did not show up on a CT ! I had several CT s and with some of the older Ct machines, it didn’t show up! The radiologist did not mention the mesh on 4 Ct scans at all !

The Kugel mesh does show up on CT. Your radiologist just did not mention it.

I think it’s odd I had 4 cts and only one mention it? I was told by 2 other surgeons that back in 2005 and with some of the older Ct machines it didn’t always show up. Since it wasn’t always the same radiologist, I tend to believe them. They mentioned past surgical clips, things about a kidney surgery, a stent but 3 separate radiologist didn’t say anything about it .

What happens if a surgeon cuts or damages the femoral genital nerve on a woman? I had lower right back pain /flank pain and swelling on my labia ? After about a week all was well again but you dont hear about this in women’s . More is talked about it in men because of where it affects them . Of course it was very concerning back then but I wish some one would have told me this could happen ,even if it’s not due to a mistake . I thought I was having a reaction or just going nuts! My hope is to let other women know it can happen and it’s ok .

I am having recurrent hernia pain I had a belly button hernia repair 10 to 12 years ago the pain and burning his back I believe should I see the same surgeon for this problem that did the original surgery I believe mesh was used as I recall

If you did fine for a decade, and now you have pain, then you may have a hernia recurrence. See your surgeon.

Still waiting for a settlement. It has been years and the attorneys said "first of the year", That was 2020. I think its looking like a scam .They were eager to accept all the documentation to get theirs but never paid the victims.
