You're a real artist with the metal, determined to achieve aesthetic and functional perfection but also practical enough to move forward towards the goal.

I don't know about that, but thanks for the kind words. I just want it to be the way I want it to be.

I appreciate your process of work. You hold yourself to your standards and work towards that until you're satisfied, quite exemplary. And you have set yourself up well with the proper tooling to achieve the results that you achieve, again quite exemplary. Love your project. Love your kitties. 😄

Great to hear you're enjoying! It's nice that I'm not in a hurry so I don't really mind the do-overs. Not that I wouldn't like to be more effecient...

I like the background of the plasma cutter and your programs you used to write and develop the templates, another bonus to watching your episodes. Thanks, Chris. Great work great videos.

Fab tabs! And the slotted muffler bracket is inspired yet functional design, having the ability to remove the mufflers easily. Almost sad to see the kitties go, though.

Thanks - they really are a special bunch.

Very cool bracket. I think it might be cool to weld your muffler bracket to the Ferrari bracket and cut out the center section, and use the trans bolts to hold the entire unit on the trans.

That's crossed my mind. Nothing's final until it's final - and with me, final often isn't! ;-)

LOVE those slip joints, totally going to STEAL that idea. LOL

Feel free. They seem like awesome parts.

For your hanger/bracket, you could use sheet metal with a pressed-in section to refer back to the 73-74 914 muffler bracket...

Hey Dave - That's an interesting thought but (and don't tell anyone) it looks like I'm scrapping the exhaust work from the double slip back. Stay tuned for developments.

Great job, didn't know about those ''slip fit'' joints.Looks good Only thing I wonder about, altho knowing that they are from Vibrant and great quality, they most probably are leak proof" But, if I look at 3:20 I wonder if it would be even better to install them the other way around? The flow of the exhaust would be less obstructed by the inside joint and there would be less chances of exhaust leaking into the joint.
@attheredbarn1669Ай бұрын
You'd think. But remember, there's an inner 2.5" tube that bottoms out against the step in the rear piece, essentially creating a smooth path for the exhaust.

It's looks good, a novel solution.
