I would think that if you wanted to put an exhaust hanger on the front, that one side would be more than sufficient. Doing a hanger on the other side looks like it would only be about 10-12 inches from the first, which seems unnecessary unless you just want it to match side to side (which it already won't because of the shifter cables). Heck, maybe even have the bracket connected more towards the center of the x pipe off the drivers side of the transmission. I can't wait to see what happens next! Love the progress

I appreciate the detail of your camera work and explanation of your thought process. Not being an exhaust mad scientist, it appears that the flow from each of the exhaust “headers” enter the X pipe and collide head to head rather than in parallel ( I am butchering my description). Will this create back pressure where in-flow and out-flow running in a traditional parallel fashion would not??? I am thinking that if the exhaust was a fluid for instance, and not a gas for example, that the rate of flow would be restricted by the collision of the two inflows. Well perhaps you can translate my thinking. I love these projects and I am planning LS-914 project currently and appreciate all the information you are providing. Missing the cats?? Thanks again.

I know exactly what you mean and I had that same concern. But in looking at all sorts of Ferrari 360 aftermarket systems (Kline Innovation, Fabspeed) - as well as some Porsche systems, they have this same sort of X-pipe configuration. So I don't think it's going to create any significant issues. But hey, we'll see. I can always make a different exhaust! ;-)

I appreciate the process and sharing the details of the build. Keep it coming. What is the difference in sound and performance between an X exhaust and a crossover pipe. My thought was that a crossover equalizes pressure and the X equalizes AND improves sound? Also time is irrelevant as long as you are enjoying the journey. You know, I happily admit I'm no expert but: If you mean an X pipe and an H pipe, both improve exhaust scavenging and low-speed power (and help reduce/eliminate drone) but an X is supposed to bump high RPM range power. There's a bunch of science behind all this but I'm not after the last hp, just the Ferrari scream. We'll see how I did, once it's running. Wish me luck!

Oh boy, somebody let the perfection crew out! Of course a Ferrari has to sing! I do the same with everything I build (cars motorcycles) aural pleasure of wringing the engine has just as much primacy as visual and visceral perception. Ouch! Always something ready to bite us on building stuff. I have a bad habit of only going to the emergency room if I can't put the finger back on with tape. Glad it was as mild as it was. I (try) to protect myself and sensory inputs as much as possible, not for fear of harm but I can't work proficiently on stuff the next day if I screw myself up. Farewell kitties!
