I wonder how long he's played because he always makes it seem like he just picked up the bass one day in his teens but he plays like a very well rounded and seasoned bass player. I love standing on the left side at their concerts so that I can actually hear the bass, not a lot of people are playing like him right now. I love it.

Really love how he tells us how fun it is to play in Greta Van Fleet, despite having the song very difficult, it kinda reflects mine. As a Guitarist (first was a bassist but changed to guitar), I would say that it is indeed fun with what they do live or non-live. My band, on the other hand always do live and not by video which is why it is fun. I'm just 14 who joined a band just a year (and got officially got into the role of a guitarist last month) so Sam's thoughts are basically why I'm officially in a band.

Hard to really say. They're all good. What's interesting is that, when playing live, you can sometimes hear Jake and Same make mistakes. And they've talked about it too. Although they're good, you know, they're still at a point in this career where that happens man. It's just natural. As far as skill. I wouldn't say Sam is SIGNIFICANTLY better than anyone else lol. It's hard to project/make that assumption.

the way someone plays with their right hand has a huge impact on how fat the bass sounds. Sam probably has a better technique than the interviewer
@jasperguitaring36735 жыл бұрын
not only is his sound on Sam's bass probably set to how he usually has it got shows, but the bass in his hands is modified because it's a jazz neck that is attached to a precision bass body and in his words "the neck just popped right in and didn't have to be shaved or anything" according to his video on rig rundown
