People like to give these guys a hard time about the obvious influence of Led Zeppelin, which is not necessarily a bad thing Its what they are They seem to be getting more mature as musicians and as they grow into manhood their lyrics will evolve with life experience They don’t try to be something they are not which is refreshing And its NOT hip hop garbage or phony recycled computer logarithm so-called “country” Thank goodness these young men are keeping the format alive
@alfsmith49363 жыл бұрын
When they first appeared everyone around me said "They are just a Led Zeppelin tribute act" and the only reply I could think of was "Good!".. I've not watched an interview with them until now but they seem more like they were influenced by the same people LZ were and their sound is natural to what they know, which isn't just the sound of Led Zeppelin, but a similar vibe because the same artistes influenced them. From what I've seen of them online they are a great live band and the world needs more of this stuff.

Thank you so much for introducing me to this group. I was put off by the name and never bothered to investigate what they were about. Totally different than what I imagined. Some of what I've heard so far is reminiscent of Zep at their bluesiest, which is not to take anything away from GVF as musicians. He found and now listens to 1800s and early 20th century music for example as his main music, but he listens to the current music as a back-up. I've been at a family party event and all that was played was 1950s and 1960s stuff organised by a 24year old, because that is the music that she liked. I might play Greta van Fleet 'Edge of Darkness' and then after that Jimmi Hendrix 'Hey Joe'.

All the bands I grew up on are getting much older and not touring as much and I was missing the music I loved and then I hear GVF I was blown away it was familiar it was that 70's rock that I grew up within the 21st century Now LZ decided to brake up in the '80s after Bonham died (rip) they had a true Blues/Rock thing going on and in the beginning, GVF did as well that is what drew them to me in the beginning but as time has gone on they have gotten more Progressive with their lyrics(writing) but the band still has that 70's vibe when they play that combination is what will keep me as a fan and make them different than anyone else IMO.

They were doing so well and then everything shut down. They will comeback I assume and I wish them more success. If you don’t like them, then don’t listen. I’m tired of the negative comparisons. @@MusiciansHallofFameMuseum Yo that dude go pipes! Not like anyone I've ever heard . I get the comparison to Robert Plant but it's not the same. He got his own voice and it's very unique! Unbelievable talent here! Just happy to see real music back on the scene. They are coming to Bridgeport Connecticut next month and I got my tickets!!

When you approach music in a certain healthy way, you’re going to be compared to someone else before you who did it right. Who do we compare electronic music to?

Love these guys.. finally, some good classic Rock I'm actually alive to appreciate. Saved Rock from dying out in a sea of techno pop with no talent surrounding actual instruments and raw voices.
