92-95 Civic 12V Charger Replacement

My cigarette lighter socket was incompatible with a modern USB phone charger, so I replaced it with a new charger.

Dude❗️ I have to tell you before I explode. Words cannot describe the stress I’ve been under trying to remove the cigarette lighter socket in a 1994 Honda accord. I have literally had to talk myself into walking away a few times without actually ripping it from the car and swinging it across the yard. 💯! there are tons of videos out there on the subject however they don’t explain it clearly or not at all. The problem head different than most people. I could gain access to it easily after having replaced a stereo before, I was already all in here but I absolutely could not get the socket freed. No matter how much I twisted and turned, popped clamps, Squeezed connectors, clockwise and opposite, it just was not coming out, regardless!! so after days riding around with dash covers dangling I decided to give it one more try with no dropkick’s involved 🙆🏼‍♀️ No luck! So I tried KZbin one more last time... YOU popped up and i clicked. Not one other video had mentioned the clamshell was a cover and preventing me from removing the socket nor did any of them mention how to remedy this. I think it was at Mark 1:35 🎯 that my life has changed and at 1:52 The entire neighborhood knew about it as exited the vehicle with that ladder socket in hand screaming hallelujah I’m Free❗️❗️😁 Thank you so so much. I mean it. Not only did you left a ton of bricks off of my shoulders you saved my car from showing a size 6 foot print going through the dash 😂. ShEwWww You have a forever subscriber right here. Finally a video to explain. I have to do the same with the 2004 Civic. The phone charger is stuck in the cigarette lighter. Time to put in a proper charging port. Thanks for the great video

would depend on the stereo in your car. some dont have aux ports
