92 Chevy 5.3 4l60e LIMP MODE SOLVED!

1992 chevy Silverado LS 5.3 4l60e swap. Finally figured out why my transmission didnt have power to it and was in limp mode

Tip for you. When probing terminals use a small paper clip and probe from the back side of the connector. Computer connections are sensitive to contact points and a test light can spread the terminal causing bad connections. This can be a headache to trace later on. Great video.

Glad you posted this man cause I have the same issue with a 4T65E know power to my transmission I even opened it up and changed out all shift solenoids all abs sensor's and both speed sensors. This all before I checked and now see there is know power to transmission. Great post!! Thanks 👍😎

I'm thinking that TCC wire gets its power from the brake switch when brakes are not pressed. Because I didn't need it for a 5 speed manual transmission. 94 sonoma 77 C10 Next project 68 f100

Weird I’m having the SAMWWW ISSUEs but all I did was change the fluid in the transmission cause my gasket went bad and started leaking

My truck 97 Chevy 1500 seems to be only going into 2nd ... Rpms won't go over 2 when driving unless I keep it in 2nd gear then I can go up to 40mph .but if I put it in drive it basically only goes to 2nd gear then I get nothing but slippage when it should hit 3rd. Not sure if I'm explaining this right. But

My ignition fuse 10amp...blew threw trans into limp mode 4l60e was saying that plug didn't have power...changed trans thinking the trans had a short in it...yup 10 amp ignition fuse I have like 7 ignition fuses

I have a 1988 truck that i need to las swap...but my 700R4 trans is freshly rebilt...so if im seeing this correctly i can run the 700R4 for a while until i get the 4L60E rebuilt..im nervous and intimidated by all the wires

Awesome glad you figured it out before selling it for so cheap, that would have sucked if someone else bought it and figured it out!! Now make that wiring pretty and get those 3 pairs of vice grips back in the toolbox where they belong!!

I have a 2011 Silverado extended cab 4.8L turbo with a built 4L80E in it and my truck goes into limp mode cold or hot if you have it in gear and try to give I throttle. Truck isn't legal so I haven't taken it down the road yet

Why? If the computer is not programed for it don't worry about it. If your vehicle came from factory with it you have to jump the purple starter wires for neutral safety switch

Don't sound good. Check fluid to see if it's dark colored or burnt smelling

I know something simple is going on with mine. It was shifting prefect but after a tune up it ran once and now it slips out of 2nd into neutral. I really can't feel it shifting to 2nd so maybe its in limp. No code. Any help appreciated. Maybe I'm in desperate denial.

I just used the piece off my original 700r4 and put it on the 4l60e for the shifter to go into then just adjusted the rod for it.. some people seem to have luck and some can't get it to work
