'92 Isuzu Pickup - POV Drive

Taking the 1992 Isuzu for a drive. Has the 2.3 carb 4cyl.

Thx for posting. I had a '93 from new..kept it until '99. I should have kept it, just wasn't practical for me anymore. Wish I could have stored it away. Thanks for the video, brings back a lot of memories.

Hey man, do you still keep it? You don't have an idea how many memories this video brought me. I had a Burgundy 1991, it was my first car, learned to drive in it. Had a blast. After 4 years sold it and 13 years have passed and I still regret it. I did so many mods on it, was in mint and shined in my garage. I used it just for personal use. I did some research and it has had several owners after I sold it, just recently contacted the current owner and found out, all these years, the car has been used for construction work and delivery, I couldnt believe it....... I hope can get get it back one day, restore it once again and keep it for life. Cheers! On a more positive note, why don't you put a Hydraulic Steering?. I did it in mine, you can't believe the difference it makes, cheers

Nice Truck ,You got the armrest in the 92, had them 91,92,and 93 took them out in 94 ,I just bought a 94 with52k actual miles...restoring it now...trying to get some fresh ideas ,,You got a clean one inside and out ,,those little trucks were well made...get in a toyota or Nissan from that era they ring like a tin can when you get inside and shut the door.. hang on to it , it's bad ass...builds up your arm strength with no power steering...no frills,just right ....

I am getting an 1989 Isuzu Pickup back on the road after it has been sitting here for 15 years. It is a southern car with pretty much no rust. Where did you get the steering wheel? I like the look.- thanks

I’ve got a 92 2.3 pickup, wondering if you’ve still got yours running and what kind of mods have you done with your exhaust? I just pulled my smog pump assembly off, and capped my exhaust rail

Do you have the stock motor? I have a 90 that I’ve owned since new. It sat in my son’s garage since 2006 and I’ve been swapping a 5.3 LS into it. If you did something similar, I’d like to understand how you overcame some of your challenges.

I kept the stock 2.3 liter engine in the truck. Don't have any experience with engine swaps myself. A good resource might be the Planet Isuzoo forums, there are quite a few threads over there talking about LS swaps

i grew up with Isuzu midi 5speed manual and 4door pickup isuzu pup diesel 5speed manual now i live in the us and all i found is pup short bed didn't like it until i found my new friend 1991 ISUZU SPACE CAB 2.6 5speed I hope soon i gonna swap 1jz turbo or similar since I'm in California i can have it only 4 or 6 cylinders no v8 because they didn't sell them that way it weird law's in CALI I also made the entire inside black including the dashboard outside needs to be repainted originally silver but not sure if i wanna go with silver

How did you wire your tachometer? Please tell me you still have this pickup! I just got an 88 over the weekend with only 100k miles and came across your video. I’d like to know the details on the tachometer and maybe if you posted a video on your set up! Thank you very much in advance!

The tachometer I have has 4 wires coming out the back, I wired the red power wire to the windshield wiper motor, I wired the black wire to a screw for ground, I wired the white wire behind the AC controls for light, and wired the green wire to the ignition coil.

Narg Gruntings do you by any chance have pictures or the make of your tach? I picked up one these in good condition brown with only 100k miles. It needs a few gaskets changed and small stuff like shocks but it’s in really good shape!
