Many people don't understand that to have a viable business you have many more things besides showing up to do the job. Cost of equipment, liability insurance, and travel time are all cost of doing business. You are showing a fine example of what the cost is of doing business. Good video and excellent explanation of what the cost of experiencing to do a good job.

That nail was put in 100 years ago more or less - likely a fence line. Long before houses were here. What a post oak. Deep inside of the tree.

I heard you explaining how complicated cutting a tree down is and you mentioned it’s like surgery. In the UK we call people who do your work “TREE SURGEONS” I find your videos very interesting thank you

Chop it from the top and lay it on the ground. You do excellent work taking them down. I have wondered if you ever hit metal when chipping trees?

You can always help the healing by making a v-shaped cut in the collar, at the very bottom and top. This will make the sap pass the cut along the sides. (Read P.P. Pirone)

Yes, and a couple old boys working out of a pick up truck with a rope and a saw and no insurance… they drop a tree on your house. You can sue them all you want but they probably don’t have anything to take anyway.😮

Big limbs over houses are pricey to get rid of because of how much needs to be done to do it and not punch a hole in the roof. On the other side of that, your homeowners insurance should go down as the risk from such trees is removed. It might even be able to get the insurance to pay for it, or mostly for it, that's something you really should talk to a insurance adjuster about or your broker. But now that I'm near the end of the video, talking about the possibility of metal being in the trunk. It might be worth it to invest in a handheld metal detector and thingy. Only down side to those is it can't locate ceramic or glass. well price as well is a downside I suppose, but would it really be that much of a downside to not get any surprise nails, wire bits of fencing. A cable or chain because at some time in the past the tree was used as an anchor point and the tree overgrew the tie down.
