when i have a big sensation going on inside my body i say my self happily : " wow this feeels soooo good" and i truly accept it with my heart and welcome it then it suddenly goes away in 5 seconds

Accept the anxiety - No matter how bizarre the symptoms don't try to fix it or analyze it. - Judge your recovery by looking at the trends not day by day recovery. - Rinse and repeat.

Cardio phobia has consumed me for over a year and a half. For 14 months I thought I was dying and couldn’t believe it was anxiety. Just recently I’ve started realizing when I panic, and sometimes I don’t feel like I’m panicking but still have symptoms. I still have bad days or hours and have to go along the ride. The constant heart checking and twitches have driven me crazy but I will get though this, I have no choice. Let’s go on the ride. Those moments when I forget about anxiety and just have fun are truly magical and I know more will come.

Two things help me when im caught in the whirlwind of intrusive thoughts... 1. Is what Claire Weekes calls Glimpsing. Those moments of clarity when you can see outside yourself and the truth is "glimpsed." Sometimes it only lasts for a few minutes at a time, but it helps acceptance.❤ 2. It's realizing that intrusive thoughts are just me telling myself these weird things. There is no authority behind these thoughts. It's like listening to a three year old babble about monsters in the closet. You know it's their imagination and isnt real. Sometimes just saying to myself... "Monsters in the closet" helps remind me its just imagination.

He's right, that's the only answer that you're looking for. Yes, it's hard but only at first and if you keep it with consistency, recovery will be very easier for you in the following weeks and months.

I was ok and suddenly last 4 days or so, it's one after another...all started with eating something that sat weird and caused issues. And boom .....trigger. set back. And I'm ashamed to say......panic set in and it's like my brain shut down and I forgot all the rules of not reacting!!!! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ It's sooo hard to THINK MID ANXIETY. mid panic. When you're sweating and dizzy and wanna puke or swear you're dying...u forget to sit with it. Accept it. Let it be there. ... I MUST remember!!

As per me handling with anxiety is just let it be and enjoy it by time brain will learn it it automatically come out from trap and one exception without any expectations and timelines

This is great! I always feel the need to escape when anxiety comes, whether its leaving the location, or listening to calming youtube videos in order to numb my mind. However, I know that I cant escape it so ive begun to embrace it and its less scary now.

The main symptom that caused me to wonder if I'm the only one that had that is the feeling that something is overtaking my brain. It's like it gets foggy and it's hard for me to differentiate between my thoughts and whatever is trying to "take over". I know it's anxiety now, but then it would send terror through me! Every now and then I'll get a quick fleeting feeling like that but I can just go on without it bothering me bc I know if I ignore the feeling it goes away. I would consider myself recovered with aftershock symptoms haha idk if that's a thing honestly but I'm 100% ok now even though I get random pop up symptoms like that. They usually go away in an hour or so.

I don't leave home anymore 7 months at home fatigue and no sleep from multiple panic attacks every time I try to sleep I watch all of these videos and physchiatrist and physcholosist tell me you can not outsmart anxiety at all it doesnt work that was accepting it doesn't work

Things I’ve learned from Shaan. 1) Bring it with you. You’re not unique so bring it with you. 2) Accept what you’re feeling but with the true intention of accepting it, not to get rid of it. That means living life like you have no anxiety already rather than waiting for it to go away so you can live your life. 3) Educate yourself. Know what depersonalization is, what sensations anxiety cause, and what it’s function is. 4) Anxiety recovery takes time and you will have setbacks. Accept them and keep going because it does get better.

Shaan I finally recovering from my social anxiety now but should I also tell my counceller about my PTsd like flashback and feel controlled I just letting it be there it not working should I get it help now or do it when social anxiety over

Can we respond the same way ...to our life stressful situations like we responding for anxiety symptoms....in recovery journey apart from symptoms..we experience life stress situations...so in what way we should respond for stress out of anxiety (bcoz.) That also making our nervous system sensitive

I was my recovery journey, but I got a Fitbit for Christmas which derailed me. The reason being is that when I sleep my heart rate will go to 45, and when awake my resting heart rate is like 52. Then sometimes I panic and my heart rate goes to 120. However, I’m still just going to trust my doctors and keep chugging aling

Hi Shaan! Two months ago I experienced my first panic attack and since then I kinda feel disconnected and emotionally numb. Is that a normal symptom? I only found this channel recently and I want to begin my recovery journey.

That’s perfectly normal with anxiety. Your amygdala is in charge of emotions so when it’s in an “anxiety state” there’s no room for positive emotions cause it’s trying to keep you safe and alive, which is why you feel disconnected too.

@@ImVictoriaRose thank you. What annoys me is that this state is still here even if I'm not feeling anxious anymore... I only had differrent panic attacks few times and after those I feel emotionally disconnected. Sometimes though I get a little anxious about my numbness and start to overthinking, so I guess that's not good for recovery. Maybe it takes time, even if I'm not experiencing panic attacks anymore.

How can you recover from anxiety if having Gastritis, GERD, and Digestive issues...especially when it becomes chronic over few months or years? From what I know our gut is the second brain. If gut is an issue for months or years, how can anxiety be resolved?
