Yes it really does. I'll be posting some new vids of it soon and a 0-60 of it.

I’ve never seen a northstar powered allante before, that is very interesting, are they rare?
@starxlr78634 жыл бұрын
Hello, I wouldn't say they are rare cars. No you won't see them around a lot but there's actually a lot of them around and some very nice examples that still bring a nice profit. I just bought my second 93 Northstar Allante this past Christmas and is turning out to be a great car. This car here I have been driving almost daily next to my 2005 Deville that I jump back and forth. It is a blast to drive and are insanely fast.

StarXLR my dad also has a 05’ Deville base and for a 4100 lbs car it is fast! I love it.

@@Underappreciatedclassics Yes it sure is! I do a lot of driving and long distance. It is so great to have something that has the power exactly when you need it. I'll have to post a new video but I went as fast as the car could go and hit 112 MPH before getting the Top Speed message come up. Even at the high speed, I could feel the car still wanted to go faster.

@@Underappreciatedclassics I just posted a 0-100 video with my 1961 Cadillac. I don't see much here on KZbin of 0-60 or 0-100 videos with the old Cadillac's from the 50s or 60s, only the newest ones.

StarXLR you seem to be a master at taking care of these engines but just a word of advice from one user to another, make sure that you check the oil in them once a week or so or whenever you start to hear light chattering coming from the engine compartment, these engines burn a trace of oil to keep cool. Also GM recommends Dexos full Synthetic oil for northstars

Is this the first year for the Northstar?
@starxlr78637 жыл бұрын
Yes. It really started in production in late 91 but were classified for the 1993 model year beginning in the Allante.

Why best year ?? It's the only year for the Northstar where the others had 4.9 which I thought was better !!
@starxlr78635 жыл бұрын
Well the Allante 4.1L and 4.5L are not to be confused with the regular (4.1, 4.5, 4.9L) engines found in the other models. These engines are similar but not the same, but many people get them confused. Personally I love all year Allante's. But having driven many Allante's from every year, the 1993 Northstar Allante is my favorite for several reasons. Many parts to include electronics and drivetrain parts are more interchangeable and more easier to obtain. Plus this is the fastest of all the Allante's which does make it the most fun to drive. I drive my 93 a lot and is getting very close to turning 200k now.
