94 accord ex 2.2l vtec upgrades and vtec solenoid pt2 fix

I have a 94 EXL manual that doesn’t rev like it used to. Barely wants to rev past 4K unless you hold it to the floor. I thought it may have been a tooth out of time but after putting a new belt on it, it was in perfect time. Never thought about the Vtec solenoid. Have to look into this now.

Most likely the springs in your cluster are going bad if your shift points are still at the same speed but revs look like they're not going up is usually cluster panel

Did you fix the problem how do you know that your. Cluster is off if it shifts at 4000 rpms just like before? Do you hear vtec engaged??

Vtec is engaging fine I hooked up a computer for live info. Was pulling a full 7200 rpm before I spun a rod at 120 mph. My new build is way better. I've definitely learned alot in the years since I first made this video.

Mine is a 2.2 vtec manual . Very little usage. Has developed a flat spot sometimes. Any ideas . Somet blocked mayb ?

Clean the screen and add the washer to your oil pump to boost oil pressure

I pulled one from a junk yard from a newer accord a 97 or maybe up to an 01 might fit. I pulled like 5 and chose the best looking one and it worked fine

Not at all use copper coat on your gaskets if you're unsure about seal always check your surfaces and make sure they're flat

It takes weight off the crank allowing the HP from the motor to be channeled to the wheels. It frees about 2 to 5 extra HP which is only noticeable from a roll. The car is small enough that turning isn't much of an issue at least for me

Pretty common problem for the gauge cluster to make you think its shifting at 4500 rpm. Mine does it too.

Yeah I thought it was floating the valves at first and not allowing vtec to engage I was hitting 7200 but no vtec so I replaced the solenoid with a new one fixed my issue

Check oil level, pressure sensor, and distributor first as potential replacement. If not I have another video of my disassembly on a vtec solenoid

What's wrong with them explain because a 200$ intake does not provide more than a $40 intake proven on the dyno! Not everyone was born rich. I would never destroy my car like this lol.. all the upgrades I've done is not adding a few bigger tunes to my car to make it fast lmfao..! And as you can see I build my cars the right way.. lol I rather upgrade my gear ratios for better acceleration than get some fence popping and call it building my car.. 😆 🤣 😂 😹

You obviously dont know what I have this 94 coupe doesnt exist anymore. The accord I am running is forged rods 88mm pistons arp studs all the deletes done. But go "ass u me" what you want I run mine daily in colorado I'm sure if you're up here you'll see what everyone else sees the back of a CD5

Colorado is home to the boosted bois and plus some heavy real tuned cars out there thats making power you won't ever see in your .2 oversized pistons.. lol I make more compression off stock k20a3 pistons and there the same bore size as f22/f23s i can break 200whp easy without having to over size my pistons all day long.. shows what you know what cast iron sleeves can handle lol. Whats 88mm going to net your cr ratio??? Have you even thought about that? And how well it will take the head flow on a f22.. at least get a better flowing head as a f22a6.. or f22a1 non vtec head. Out flows the eco vtec heads all day long lol.. all that work to get you no where
