I love this episode. It's really creative and touching...but my favorite thing about it is that before the Weather - before our death - Cecil speaks in both ears, and plays the Weather in both ears, just so we don't have to hear the monster as it kills us. Makes me feel like Cecil really cares about his listeners, even in their last moments.

At first I didn't understand why this episode felt so... familiar. intimate. Then it hit me. Constant stalking. Always feeling like - no, always KNOWING that you might die, or suffer that much, at any moment. Again. Never feeling safe, listening to every sound. This is how my PTSD feels like. And someone did brutally die in the end. In a way, this episode felt utterly normal - the everyday, which is not something you'd expect of Welcome to Night Vale.

Step 1: Get a friend (who hasn't hear the episode already), a cell phone, some headphones, and a book/tablet/something you can pretend to be distracted by Step 2: Give the friend the phone with the episode playing in the headphones. Tell them it's important and they must listen closely and trust the voice. Step 3: Sit down near them and pretend to read or whatever you brought. Step 4: Enjoy. Note: You may have to getup and discretely follow them around to get the full experience. In that case, a book makes excellent cover.
