You are my idol coach Phil. As a young coach i really learn a lot from you and my business is growing as skills development coach in my country in Europe. Much love and respect. I can't express how I appreciate you.

As far as feedback @philhandy. As someone trying to learn. I think that the camera tilts on the dribble are a bit unnecessary and a little distracting. Love your content & I think that adjustment could make it better from a student perspective

It’d be great to see a video for 10U girls rec league players and or coaches not to be too specific but it’s tough when the example people are always some of the best in the game hopefully that made sense other than that I’m still gonna keep watching brother

@Babydurant35allday24 күн бұрын
?? You're on the wrong channel if you're looking for what 10yr old girls need to work on. Look for basic ball control drills, triple threat footwork, jumpstops/playing off two feet, team shooting drills, etc. Why would you expect Phil Handy to be making videos for 10yr old rec players?

i'm not seeing the results of my training, somebody told me it's because i play a 5v5 daily, i should make it a 2 weeks thing and practice more to see results, basically playing a lot of games misses up the training !!, is that true ?!
@bfe95422 күн бұрын
Yeah. In the US its actually a problem with AAU…the kids play way more than they practice and don’t develop the fundamentals as well as the European players who practice 5 days a week and play once or twice. In the US they play 3-4 games a week and spend less time practicing. This needs to change. If you only play 5 on 5, your cardio will improve but it basically reinforces the stuff you can already do and your progress will feel slow. If you play more 1 on 1, and do drills of increasing difficulty when you’re alone in the gym, eventually it will translate to 1 v 1, but before you’re 1 v 1 game can translate to 5 on 5 you should progress to 2 on 2 or a game of 32, then progress to 3 on 3. And the goal of each scenario is to work on the things you did in the gym by yourself and get it to translate to the full court game. Practice should be hard, you should be missing shots and losing the ball a lot otherwise you’re not practicing hard enough or practicing at game speed. If you need to go slower first, do it. But increase the speed each time it starts to feel comfortable

This kinda frustrates me watching this video also knowing rui trained with LeBron. Seeing how big rui actually is along with his hands makes me feel he is underachieving and can play better than what he’s shown
