jabari plays like how normal 6’8 guys play, he’s just naturally stiff. seeing pg be the same size but have the fluidity of a small guard is crazy. one of the smoothest the game has ever seen

PG’s shooting form has always been intriguing to me. He naturally shoots with a flat base keeping both his feet even spread out: not leaning one way or towards a particular foot. He reaches his set point and often flicks the ball at the rim after a extremely brief pause. I wonder if that helps him get a better touch on the release besides just using it to shoot over smaller defenders.

I think the pause comes from the need to bring back the wrist and lock it before he starts releasing the ball. If you look at his wrist it is almost entirely relaxed and flat on the catch. What's beautiful is how smoothly he does all that.

Idk if it makes sense but the way dribbling is supposed to go feels like notes on a sheet music. Sure we can go cross, between, behind but the way we move and the pace those moves go in the time frame can really increase how shifty we are.
