When people like Jokic say "Wemby's going to change the game", he's thinking shooting angles and arc, etc..: the skyhook could be an answer to 7'+ wingspan defenders, for sure. Maybe not for Jokic, since he doesn't really jump 😂

I have always disliked how star-centric the NBA is. I'm tired of star players having to bear the responsibility of an entire franchise. Wilt averaged 50ppg and still lost games because, in the end, the best team wins. It takes more than one or two great players to win games. Hold these coaches accountable for not maximizing their team so stars can sell tickets.

I'm super short and I always pull off "sky hooks" on people way taller than me. Its an awesome skill that I don't see anyone in the NBA use anymore. I don't think its a difficult shot to learn. You can change levels with it as well, it can go over the person or under the person when you need to change it up.

The next big thing is normalizing a cherry picker and having a four player zone. This mean higher level defender have more space to defend and easy throw a head baskets. Puts more pressure on the offensive team to make good shot selections and rebound. Essentially forces a team to utilize all of the shot clock, to make a good shot, or to run back quickly.Gang rebounding is dinished because now if players take that chance and don’t get the rebound, you have a numbers advantage the other way with the throw ahead pass
@stoplosinglilboy14617 ай бұрын
Nope to much stamina used on 4 defenders (and injuries), way way to punishable in the playoffs, opposing team will destroy them with offensive rebounds. Sending 5 nba level athletes to crash the boards without 1 of them being boxed out... nah not happening.
@itsyeboi6317 ай бұрын
@@stoplosinglilboy1461 this strategy is to apply pressure to the opposing team by having them overthink the game. What happens when we score, they will throw it ahead for a free score. What happens if we miss, we gotta go for the rebound but that means if we donʻt rebound then they can pass it ahead for the score. We need to get higher percentage shots by driving the lane, they can take the ball from the baseline after the score and throw it ahead. Now teams arenʻt going to run their usual sets because it is going to have them out of position to make the spring back. The ball can travel the length of the court faster than the players can. Now do we send a player further back at the top of the key to get a jump on the cherry pick, then that means we have to run four man sets instead of five which allows for less passing lanes to be opened up. Its all hypothetical and situational but there is definitely merit to the idea of the "ball traveling faster than the player"

and third... a "Big Market Team" is mostly to be taken literal... a team with a potentially big LOCAL market, i.e. city/metropolitan area, as a base... "biggest", as in most desireable, markets are cities/metros with 1 million plus in population... LA, NY, Boston, Philly, Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Fran, Chicago, Toronto --> BIG Markets San Antonio --> decent sized market but small compared to the other two Texas markets its squeezed in between.. although Pop's Spurs are vastly more successful than any of the other two, they will always be the smallest Texas market...

@@paquinraino8180 I agree... however... with the Raptors being the only game in town (the town being Canada), it is most definately considered a big market... it just hasn't developed to its full potential.. yet.. as a general rule of thumb on how desirable a market is.. we just have to look at how many of the big US leagues are present in it.. the biggest markets have NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL present.. and the big BIG markets have more than one team playing in each league...
