Beautiful Tracker! Your worst tank MPG is about what I average in my 93 with the 8v engine. I’ve had mine since 2018 and it’s not nearly as nice as yours, but it has been all over the southwest from California to Nevada to Utah to Arizona.

That is awesome to hear someone else is still driving theirs and going on road trips! I had a 94 8v over 10 years ago and loved it, I regretted selling it but it had rust starting to take over (this was back in PA). This tracker is as nice as I've ever seen in the last 10 years, I drove 450 miles away with cash in hand overnight to buy it. There was literally 15 people hoping I didn't show up! The older gentleman I bought it from was floored that so many people liked these vehicles

If you like stock trackers, @johndrivesanything also has a very clean stock tracker with tons of videos! had a 94 8v 5 speed 10+ years ago, I absolutely loved it. It's why I got this one actually, if mine didn't have the classic east coast rot starting, i probably would have never sold it. That and mine had no AC. 95 HP is quite a bit, my car has 78 and does nicely. (: That is a neat little SUV! It's like a go-cart! One thing to note, I don't drive my car fast. The fastest I ever gone was 75 MPH, I like to keep it around 55 MPH. I will go 60 if the roads "minimum speed limit" says 60. Never had that happen yet. 55 Seems to be the sweet spot. Last tank I was able to hypermile the whole thing, and averaged 67.6 MPG. I drove 412 miles, and used 6.097 gallons of gas. I cruised at 55 MPH on the interstate, and hopped on a less populated highway, and went 50. And then took side roads around 35-40 MPH. I really like my 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage. Small go-cart like your Tracker. I am in California, often do big trips. When we had the Northern lights down here, I drove to the desert and back 3 days in a row, racked up over 1,000 miles doing so. Car did great going over the Cajon pass. 2,700 RPM at 55 MPH. It can go faster, but why bother? It's happy right at 55. 19,000 Miles since October, 2023. 42 MPG in that thing is absurd!

Thank you! Smaller vehicles are pretty rare and misunderstood in the United States. You go to any other country and there are a lot of vehicles with a sub 100 inch wheelbase being driven daily. Here, people think you're just a little crazy for driving something so small. They just don't understand how fun to drive, efficient and simple lightweight vehicles are! I've rented a few mirages, they feel like a 90s car in the best way possible. No crazy complex hybrid turbo systems or drive modes yet still get incredible fuel mileage like you experienced. I would have loved to just go 55 the whole time, we spent way longer in the parks than I anticipated and had to rush home. Here in Utah, Idaho and Montana the speed limit is 80 and it's really not safe to go too much slower, heavy tractor trailer traffic and 2 lanes creates a dangerous situation Most of these trackers/Suzuki sidekicks have a 8v 80hp motor with shorter gearing, only the late model (1995+ with 4wd or 96+ 2wd) trackers got the 95hp 16v motor. I've owned both and it's night and day. The 0-60 times are ~4 seconds quicker with only 15 more HP, pretty wild!

I forgot to mention, the engine note of the 3 cylinder is awesome! It sounds fantastic. Hypermiling it would be difficult for me because I like hearing it so much

@@tommyistommy The fun part, my mom refuses to ride in my car, she drives a pickup truck. She hates my Mirage! Haha! It's all for me. I've drove in an 80 MPH speed limit road before, I saw the minimum was 55 MPH, so I went 60, then hopped onto a side road. Don't like going faster than 55 in any car. Not used to speed.

We really need more small under 100hp shitboxes in the states, my favorite type of cars to own and drive. Cheaper way to drive and a more fun way to drive. Average American buys a V6 tank suv to then go to work, walmart and then drop the kids off at school. Meanwhile I see these small underpowered cars hauling more crap and seeing more offroading then any the avg mom suv will ever do.
@tommyistommy3 ай бұрын
Amen! Smaller cars do everything you need to do and when something does break you can usually fix it with hand tools. Our emissions laws are strange and somehow everything ends up being a 5000lbs land yacht instead of a smart size
