I love how the cherubs are animated and how the lights are controlled by the music!

All of these effects were added by Heinrich Voigt who enlarged and modified the original organ. Apparently the light system is still original from the 1960's.

Glad you enjoyed it. Really it's all thanks to David Burville for keeping this wonderful collection in top form.

Thank you for filming this in operation - so many posts are just static images with music playing, No where near as exciting.

I’ve seen this organ when I first visited the museum years ago. It’s very loud but it’s a brilliant organ! :)

I saw the organ at Dorset again recently, sadly it was not playing in the moments I was there. As you say, excellent organ but probably the 2nd loudest in the Scarborough collection (the Southsea Verbeeckioli definitely takes 1st place!)

@@MechanicalMusicTravelsWhat’s the drum layout on this instrument? It looks like it has extra percussion on stage

@@HarryYT22Believe it or not I think the organ has 3 snare drums and 3 bass drums (!!), 2 out of view in this video mounted at either end of the trailer, 2 in the side wings of the organ itself, and 2 in the lower section!

@@MechanicalMusicTravels Wow! Interesting that it was originally a Waldkirch Gavioli. I can still hear some Gavioli pipes in there.

The correct title of the third book is "Roaring 20's Mix" arranged by Tom Meijer.
