good to see you push through and win the challenge. Good they corrected the portion mistake they really loaded up the fries. It didn't seem that you liked the fries very much though. I could tell because when the food challenge is really good we get that classic "oh man" with a big smile instead you did a "interesting flavor". Either way another challenge in the books have fun in Hawaii.

When I lived in Hawaii and worked at Learl Harbor shipyard I always got the local food truck lunches, big sticky rice Spam some poi and sauces etc, loved it.

When you mentioned the fries and two baskets I thought to myself on average two baskets can hold around 4 1/2 - 5 lbs all together. I use to work in the restaurant industry for a friend of mine that use to own a small burger stand and kinda know how much each basket can hold. When it comes to tater tot’s, each basket full can hold 3 to 4 lbs , and around 3 lbs of onion rings depending on their size because they do vary.

Was last in Hawaii in 1977. The main island is home to The Parker Ranch which in 1977 was the largest cattle ranch in the world. Joel the chances are that that's where the meat from your hamburgers came from. While you're in Hawaii see if you can stay at the Mauna Kaia hotel. Stayed there with my Family back in 1977 and the place was amazing!

Hey Joel. The reason the Spam is in plastic boxes because people are stealing them. Walmart is not the only place locking them up or hiding other canned products behind cashier registers. You need to ask for a can meat at certain stores here in Hawaii. People steal them and actually trade them for money or drugs on the streets here in Hawaii. Spam is 'a thing' here in the UK too ... fried it tastes quite bacony, nice in a sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes etc ... or you can coat it in batter and have a spam fritter (usually with chips/chunky fries and maybe peas). It was really big here after the war as it was seen as a cheap meat, but it's traditionally high in salt and fat so not exactly a health food.
