I absolutely love the glacier, and i ordered 2. I only ordered 2 because i want the glacier to be my first custom. My plan with the second glacier is to paint it more like the original glacier and make it like a "trans-am-esque" or like the burning forms

I think a simple solution to make the kit pop would be to repaint the lighter purple/grey pieces a different color. Maybe fuchsia or magenta would be noticably different and work well with the other colors.

I definitely wish they'd include more extenders for that base. My original Transient and Hyakuri could definitely use a longer base arm like the Supre Fumina has.

I don't really like these kinds of exaggerated, flamboyant kits but man those arm blades really do look awesome. That said, the dark clear parts do seem like a waste as they do not 'pop' from the rest of the suit. Feels like they couldn't make up their mind on whether to make it really exaggerated and flamboyant or make it cool with a stealth colour scheme so they did both and ended up with a mixed bag like this. Maybe that's the reason they kept changing the colours of this kit in the early images.

Alvin Tay Yeah it seems they did go back and fourth a bit on the colors, ultimately I think they came down to the wrong decision.

I was thinking of using my metallic silver gundam marker under the condensers, and skipping the backskirt entirely. I'd also cut off the top of the collar like I did on my Transient (which I painted in Iron Man colours).

This looks amazing to be honest, I don't get how everyone's saying it looks horrible, the only reason I probs won't buy it is because dark plastic is a horrendous experience in terms of nub mark removal since I don't paint

It's the rival suit of the Wing Zero Honoo Flame Feder that's also why it has an icy theme to contrast with the Honoo's fire one.

Overall the kit sounds semi-clunky to pose and to handle, and the color has horrible contrast. What solutions would you do to fix that? For example what would you do to fix posability and stop the kit from clashing with its parts? And finally what color would you recolor this kit ? still good review and thanks dude.

Clear effects are cool enough, but for this kit....its too much. If possible, could you disassemble this and rebuilt it as 'naked' form without any clear parts attached? Somehow overusage of clear effects in this one kills the style on Transient Gundam.

So, fun fact, in Build Fighters Amazing which this design comes from (I think?), the pilot/builder intentionally rips off and makes the Transient Gundam into a disgusting mess in order to shame the original builder. I THINK that's right, at least?

When I learned that this isn't Wilred Kijima's but someone from the Honoo Manga or something I still wanted this kit... when reviews came out and the backpack looked like a kitbash I had second thoughts... I ended up deciding to get the HGFC Master Gundam.... anyway.... I like the Original Transient over this.... but this isnt really bad but not getting it either XD

Personally I disagree with you on this kit not standing out on a shelf I think it's dark color scheme makes it stand out in a horde of brightly colored kits but that might just be my shelf. And personally I like the design it's a Transient Gundam with an ice motif and it looks the part. I've seen worse retools"Beginning 30,High Nu Influx,Dynames Arm Arms and the Amazing Exia".

Why did this exist? I mean it is not based on an official suit design except the Transient. Transient Glacier is just a model kit that doesn't exist outside of a model kit. Why did Bandai bother with this?

I did a google and apparently the Transient Glacier is a suit that appears in the Build Fighters Honoo Try manga along with the Wing Gundam Honoo.

It's still a weak attempt and not a true upgrade since it's not made by the same guy (Wilfred Kijima) though the mechanical designer is the same strange enough. Maybe it was the designer's choice to give a bad imitation of the same suit to another character.

The Glacier isn't the first variant someone's built of another character's suit the entire Beginning Gundam and Bearguy line outside the first,The Forever Gundam MK II,Forever GM,Hi-Nu Influx,Try Burning,Kamiki Burning and Denial Gundam are all reworkings and variants of someone else's custom.

Eh I don't think it's worse than the Try Burning they're both the same kit as their predecessor but with a bunch of glowy parts added. Atleast the Glacier's along with it's new color scheme makes it look more different.
