I just got this kit for Xmas a few days ago, and finished building it today. By far, one of the most visually impressive Gunpla I own, though I did have an issue with the rear section, those 4 panels covering the rear have a bad habit of falling off if you so much as look at them. Other than that, I'd highly recommend this Gundam!

OK, so it's unlikely anyone will see this 5 years later, but the backpack on this kit is driving me crazy. Like MGK mentions, it looks like it should do something. The manual is explicit when it comes to what order you're supposed to put parts with tabs and slots on (aside from these tabs and slots the parts are otherwise identical) but then these tabs and slots don't do anything! Was there an expansion set? Were these parts re-used by another kit that does use these tabs for something? I like this kit, but this just feels like some kind of puzzle with no answer!

i miss when bandai used to make regular releases of kits even for a photonovels... now even just a different armament(Darilbalde, Pharact, Michaellis) for an MS on the main show, it would be pbandai

I think the backpack can be piloted on its own, and those partisan parts used as claws/talons. They can rotate forward by the looks of it, in mid-flight at least. Its behind could be one giant vent/thruster, or like you said, a "joint piece" to something else. But the feet reminded me of chicken feet at first look. I thought of this playing chicken with the original transient...the original would win. Rumor has it the original transient was replaced in season 3 (coming up apparently), so we'll see what Wilfred uses next. I hope its something good!

Transient got the "slickest" frame design imo. And i really loving this "black" color scheme from this kit. Though personally i think navy color would be better compared to purple dont you think?

That v-fin sticker sucks. Couldn't they have included 1 extra piece of dark grey plastic for it? That back skirt looking like it's missing something is probably for some sort of an add on later that'll come out via Premium Bandai or a magazine. The backpack reminds me of 00 QanT. Anyway, it's too bad this is 1 of those "miss" HG releases (hit or miss) in its looseness and more looking like a rushed release. I'm actually surprised this wasn't released via Premium Bandai.

Ben N That's one of those things you want to release with the kit instead of having it seperate. I really dislike when Bandai cheaps out and doesn't release the whole kit. The magazine should only sell addons, not crucial parts.

I think I prefer the look of the original Transient. This still looks cool but some of it seems a bit much and most of kibble is useless and just unbalanced.

You don't have to use _all_ of it. I would certainly thicken the balljoint in the waist, and probably skip the backskirting. The backpack has a two hole peg system, so it can be swapped onto other two peg gunpla, like the Revive Strike Gundam. This definitely looks more menacing than the original.
