sergiodpk put a LID setup on that car and try to run a 4” tube and a FTP 104mm lid. That CAI setup is costing you some power. EWP would bump the power too if you don’t have one. I have a 12.7:1 Cam Motion solid roller with ported AFR 210’s on e85. Got every trick you can do to squeeze power out.

@@sergiodpk hey guy, does the torque head setup come with its own engine wiring harnes and can the average joe install it? Im going mad with my lt1 misfire comes and goes.. Just want it running already. Got all the mods le2 heads cam and pcmforless programing ecm etc.. Changed optispark twice and it ran the same. Miss comes and goes now feels like ecm is taking timing out. Found out i had the wrong header gasket and was leaking on #5. Just ordered the felpro 1406 soon as i get home put it on see if misfire goes away.

Torqhead comes with a harness that plugs right into the factory harness.... It’s really easy to install

The only LS engine I’ve heard that I thought sounded good was the lsx454. Nothing beats the sound of an lt1 and now with 24x conversions it’s about time to make some real power out of these.

What's your compression and the cam specs on this build? I'm currently building a 396 as well, AFR 210 with Comp porting, 247/255 @.619/.627 custom LE hydraulic, 13.9:1 on E85, and hoping to hit that 500rwhp number myself.

My specs are on the description…with that much compression, cam and e85 you shouldn’t have too much problem cracking the 500 mark….Man or Auto?

@@sergiodpk I didn’t expand the Description, facepalm, lol, reading is hard, haha! I hope so, I’ve only seen 1 or 2 other LT1’s on a hydraulic cam hit the 500rwhp mark. I’m running an RPM T56 and 8.8 rear on my car.

I got a 96 Z28 and I had a 383 in it and it twisted the 10 bolt posi that came in the car into a pretzel lol I had a quick performance 9 in that bolted right in and put 411 gears in it moser posi unit and Moser axles. My 396 stroker is being built now. I'm hoping to get 500whp with OptiSpark delete and LS conversion kit.

This car is setup for road racing, low stance stiff suspension….its never hooked hard enough to shock the rearend that bad…my current setup put down 518whp check out my videos or my instagram @motorsbysergio

chico suave been having issues with the cam sensor unit. Paul at Torqhead has sent me a new upgraded unit at no charge and we believe the issue has been solved. Paul’s customer service is outstanding.

How much additional porting was done to those AFR heads over how they come out of the box?

Just light porting to the pinch and roof of the heads....factory LT1 manifold

Oh okay. I just heard that there could be potential issues with the sealing surfaces of the LT1 manifold since the LT4 had a little extra meat around the intake runners.

No issues at all with the LT1 manifold. I actually used a borescope at the end to check how the ports lined up.....everything perfect
