Man, don’t blame yourself. I ordered one (actually two) off Amazon and one had a broken spare tire carrier bracket too. I had two because I ordered one off of Amazon and then they drop the price. Instead of refunding me the difference they said that I could return the other one that I bought at the more expensive price. They were a couple other little broken parts too. You got a killer deal for $97. Mine was $119. The detail on the body is really cool and I really do like the leaf spring suspension. It just needs a little work to get some articulation out of it. The shocks don’t have any oil in them but they have O-rings so they’re sort of like friction shocks. There’s a couple of easy mods that you can do. That’s kind of fun by putting the axles under the leaf springs, and then removing a couple of the leaf springs to get more articulation. It’ll lift the body some and at that point you can put crawler tires on it and it will have a lot more crawling ability. For the price it’s a great little truck. I found that if you remove the front grill and paint it it makes it look a little less goofy. I also got a cheap $13 light kit and made use of all the different LED buckets around the body. I found a 12 inch little dude and strapped him in the driver seat and I made his arms really loose so I could put his hands on the steering wheel and then his arms move with the steering wheel movement. Again for the money this is a great vehicle. Plus, you could put little dudes in it. Have fun with yours! Ps: just saw the other video with the mods. Nice!
