I found it easier to bolt the frame end on first, then aligning the axle end up by turning the steering wheel slightly until the hole and track bar are aligned.

Thank you! Glad you found d it useful. Hope it works out for you as well. Over time, I replace the other joints and drag link to make it all fresh. I got my stuff at rockauto. Pretty good prices.

besides the enigine light @ 10:04, it looks your TJ is performing great - hard to believe that it's jsut a 2.5L...

Thank you Bernie! Yeah, the evap canister throws a code about every 4k miles and I just clear it. Runs good and I am happy with it.

Thanks Dude! Yes I pulled the plastic from the metal dash frame. Not that hard to do and will give you a much cleaner job in my opinion. Thanks!

Great video my friend. Inwas wondering of you could help me. Ii have wondering issue in my 2000 TJ especially highway speed. I repacked trackbar with metal cloak and Y Currie steering set up as well. New ball heavy duty ball joint, hub and axel ujoints. But still wondering issues, turns really sharp to the right steering kind Knocks side to side. All I can think of steering box and or shaft? Any direction would be amazing. Thank you in advance
@ForceBuilt2 жыл бұрын
Is it like it has a dead spot in the steering? Like where the steering wheel moves a little but doesn't turn the wheels? If so the gearbox may need to be tightened some. It has a lock nut and a set screw that can be adjusted. Just make small adjustments at a time. Thanks!
@coachbiggsremedy96342 жыл бұрын
@@ForceBuilt a little bit, bit mostly steering wonders to right, within 100 yards i would be on side walk. Also at 80 mph gets scary, didn't 8swd to be that way. Thank again
@ForceBuilt2 жыл бұрын
@@coachbiggsremedy9634 sounds like taking it to an alignment shop might be your best bet. Also If it has a lift, the caster may be a little off also. That will cause the front to feel flighty and unstable. Thanks
@coachbiggsremedy96342 жыл бұрын
@@ForceBuilt Yes 3 inch life Terra flex. I did alignment and check all tire balance and rotated (new Toyo tires 264=75). You can see my frustration 😆 still fin though
@ForceBuilt2 жыл бұрын
@@coachbiggsremedy9634 did you add adjustable control arms in the front? 3" is a little beyond what the stock ones can handle.
@mikecarrington64174 жыл бұрын
No need for the ratchet strap. Just turn the steering wheel and it'll move the frame back and forth over the axle.

Nice! Didn't try that. I will next time. Thanks!

awesome video! i have a feeling im going to need to change(or upgrade) mine soon :D which brand did you go with? or did you stay stock? also, that fire truck came out of no where LOL!

I stayed stock. Got it from Rock Auto. I still have to replace the drag link. Slowly but surely it is getting done. The $$$ is starting to add up at this point lol.

@@ForceBuilt yeah they'll suck you dry if you let them! i have a good few parts to replace/upgrade underneath just from casual wear over 90k miles, and then im going lift kit & tires! my bank account is going to hate me
