You’re the man! I had to use a screw to remove the broken piece also. I would never have thought to do this! Cost me $14 bucks for the part and a little effort. I got air flow coming out of all my vents now in my 97 TJ! Thank you so much!

Why does my linkage look different than yours? I have a 2004 Wrangler. Struggling to find the part, I found the part that looks like yours easily but not the one I have.

Hey Aaron. I’m not a mechanic by any stretch. :). Mine would blow heat at times and if I backed down the blower that would help, sometimes. If you don’t have any heat I would think it’s either the thermostat, cheap fix. Or maybe your heater core. Just replaced my heater core on my Ram truck because I didn’t have any hot air, just Luke warm. Good luck and hope you figure it out.

how did you get the stuck piece out? I saw the screw but did you drill it first or what? great video by the way, the only one I could find

I was able to put the screw back in a little and then use the channel lock curved edge as a fulcrum to leverage it out. It wasnt super easy but did come out without too much pulling. Hope this helps!

What's the acturater below the one you changed?....both of mine are broken off

I don't recall. Move the little arm that comes into it and you should be able to find which actuator it controls. This was also my first time doing this. Hope this helps, Good luck!

I put a screw in the broke off piece inside housing but it will not pull out any ideals

Possibly drill very small hole so screw will grab better. Not a mechanic so I'm just guessing without actually seeing it.

Kyle, I need a bit of info I am having trouble locating. did you pull out one plug or 2? My GF's 97 had 2 plugs I had to pull out, as to the singular one that you did? Was their 2 and u just didn't show it?
